Petition: Seven of Nine Spinoff

Well, Akiva said there were 2 shows in the oven. And that we'd see some female leads. Candidates:

1) Michelle Yeoh in S31 show.
2) Jeri Ryan in Seven show.
3) Tilly in the Academy show.

I'm thinking a Seven helmed spin-off must be a lock, yeah - PIC is wrapping, and they're going to need a show to take its place in a little over a year. Giving Jeri Ryan the nod is logical.

Everyone over at SH says Section 31 is still a go, but I wonder if they're going to reduce Yeoh's part to work around her movie schedule. No insult intended, but she's a little bigger than Trek right now.

Michelle Yeoh would star in a Seven of Nine show I think, but she would have to take a back seat to Jeri Ryan which she might not be *too* happy about. She can have her own Section 31 show too if they have enough money, but I think that it would have to be more of a temporal time war type thing if this is the case rather than typical section 31 fair. She might keep trying to recruit Seven, who refuses, but they still have to work alongside each other sometimes. Of course, the Empress and Seven met a *long* time ago during their time working with the Fenris Rangers after the Guardian of Forever deposited Georgiou there. Georgiou might have become a bit of a ‘mentor’ for Seven in the Ranger’s when she was rejected from Starfleet originally and ‘lost touch’ with Janeway. Georgiou and Admiral Janeway might *really* dislike each other though and have ‘run ins’ that Seven gets stuck in the middle of, testing her loyalty…

I'm almost getting a sitcom vibe (Seven's stuck between Mama Janeway and time-tripping Georgiou).

The dynamics and character tension would be amazing! Can you just imagine Janeway and Georgiou chewing scenery off against each other over some morale dilemma or crisis with Seven stuck in the middle? :D

My only thought is that at the point where we saw Rios in command of the Stargazer I would have been eagerly signing up for a show centred round his adventures on that ship - and look how that turned out!

Until I see the current showrunners along with Jeri Ryan talking about it directly and Seven survives the closing scene of season 3 I'm not getting my hopes up again.
