Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Mine was the Enterprise D when the series officially launched (but the year after the pilot scheme) way back in 2013. My last, which I got three weeks ago was the Rosi XL from The Expanse.
Also the D, from the German pilot scheme.
Last the USS Liu Cixin.

I wonder if we’ll ever see the sales numbers, but my suspicion is that the sales tanked after they moved away from the small $20-$25 models and started pushing the larger $50-$55 models of the Discovery line and beyond. Not only did the larger models cost more and take up more shelf space, but the boxes were unstackable since they were all different sizes. It also seems like they produced a lot of Discovery era Klingon ships that were undesirable since most fans didn’t like the designs to begin with. I bet they didn’t even recoup the design costs for those.
I got all the Discovery Collection ships except the last Section-31 ship.
I canceled my subscription before it was shipped because I didn't want it.
Ended up getting more than a few freebie doubles on different ships of that line.

They kept getting lost in the mail and after waiting over a month each time for one to show up, I'd call and say it hadn't arrived yet and they would send another, then about two weeks later both would show up at my door.
I offered to send the first two doubles I got back to them, but each time I talked to the EM Rep on the phone she said don't bother.

I ended up with 2 Discovery's; 2 Barron Grime's Festoon's, 2 Class-C Shuttles; 2 Landing Pods; 2 Worker Bee's; 2 Discovery Dedication Plaques and 2 Tardigrades.
(each for the price of one)
It was kinda strange that I never got 2 of any of the Klingon ships, they always seemed to ship with no problem. (not that any of them were particularly desirable)

They even screwed up my separate order of the Trek Movie Spacedock and ended up sending two of those as well.
I also would have had two of the I.S.S. Charon, but the first one they sent me the light didn't work so I did send that one back.
I think all told I've got about 45-50 of the models. (I've never done an actual count)

I never started the Original subscription, just bought the particular ships I liked individually.

Never got any of the XL ones, they were way over priced for what ya got.
I did managed to get every Enterprise from the Prime Universe though.
(never cared for the Kelvin ones)

They filled my last order back in mid-May within 2 weeks.
I got the Shuttlecraft Set-3, the USS Bonaventure, the USS Kelvin and the Enterprise-E.
(I actually got 2 of the Bonaventure cause I didn't realize I had clicked for 2 in the online order)

So what was everyone's first and last ship before the fall and you need to get them from alternative places?

Mine was the Enterprise D when the series officially launched (but the year after the pilot scheme) way back in 2013. My last, which I got three weeks ago was the Rosi XL from The Expanse.

first was the XL 1701. Last was the TOS Romulan Bird of Prey.

after the fall, I did just buy two ships off Amazon using the buy 2 get 50% off deal. The normal sized 1701 (TOS) and the movie version Klingon Battle Cruiser. Not necessarily ships I have to have but ones I’d like to have.

whenever they do put the remaining inventory up for liquidation sale I will be beating down the door to grab the LD Titan and if they have any, the XL Cerritos.

First was the Enterprise-J.
Last was the Voyager-J.

J for Jeez these are cool!

I think the first model I bought at the newsagent was the Romulan D'deridex class. The last ones I ordered from the EM shop were the XL Prometheus and Oh's Flagship.

My first ship was the Enterprise-J--I wasn't a big fan of the design at the time, but i wanted a futuristic Enterprise. Man, that model changed my entire opinion of the ship a full 180. Now it's one of my favorites.

My last ships were a double order, the Discovery and the Kerala. Eaglemoss went into administration just two or three days after they were shipped...
:weep:

I splurged on the Classic Galactica and never regretted it. It was hefty in the right places and rich in texture. I found it superior to the completed model kit released in the 70's.

It's the only non-Trek item I bought, but their other offerings from original BSG look pretty impressive, too.

I was a late comer to Eaglemoss, but my first ship with the Enterprise C in March 2020 - right at the beginning of the pandemic lockdown. I probably have 30 ships now, mostly Trek, but some BSG (original Cylon Raider, Viper Mk 3, and the Battlestar Valkryie). The last ship I received was the Orville shuttle craft which arrived just before the news came out.

I'd still love to get a Probert variant of the Enterprise C, and maybe the Battlestars Galactica and Pegasus, but it's not the end of the world if I don't.

I'm pretty satisfied with the ships I have, but I wish they'd find a way to continue.

My first one was the 5 EUR 1st issue with the D :D
Bought 3 of them and gave Trekkie friends the other 2.
The last one I got was the Keldon.
Now still looking for the Promellian, Sheliak, and FC Borg Cube...

ALCON:

I've built some pages around the PDF's. I wound up just making it available and open to everyone and not "hidden" like I originally planned. Here are the links:
I've looked through some random links and they appear to all be functional. If anyone comes across some broken links, however, let me know here or in the other thread.

Thanks very much and enjoy!

Too bad they didn't release the Discovery magazines before all this.
Yeah, and the shop exclusives as well. It seemed like they quit printing the full sized magazines a while back, as the smaller ones were still included in everything I picked up recently, so I have the feeling they put up the ones they knew they weren't ever going to reprint.

To add to the magazine problems, several of them (particularly some specials and the 2009 background ships) were smaller than even the standard small size and won’t fit in any of the available binders.

Never having purchased anything from Eaglemoss either directly or otherwise, I haven't followed this story at all outside of TrekBBS threads. Yet this video said absolutely nothing I didn't already know, and in the latter third of the video offered little beyond a personal opinion. Is this apparently barely-researched and almost content-free video typical of Triangulum? I don't watch their stuff.
