best KID episode

And here is what I mean. What do you think was the best episode of any TREK that centured around one kid. There are a few qualifiers before you reply..

Jake, Wesely, Alexander and Lal are all not allowed since they are children of main characters. Any kids of regular characters on any of the other TREK shows are also not qualified here. The 'kid' must be a guest star;one time only episode.

The episode must center around a kid, meaning a child. I would say, any episode that centers on a child who is at least 12 years old or younger. So that means teenagers do not apply.

Acting ability/story are both at play here.

I don't think there are any good ones either. Ummmm maybe 'First Born' if it counts?

Does the kid from Insurrection count? I really didn't have a problem with him. He seemed real enough, and had a certain amount of charisma.

Does it have to be only Trek? I liked the kid in an episode of Babylon 5 who had the good sense to be killed by his parents at the end of the show.

Well, FWIW, I really liked TNG's "Imaginary Friend". I may be the only one who does.

I forgot about Disaster. That would probably be my favorite. I also liked WHen the Bough Breaks. The others I can remember relied too much on "cutsie." Also, most of the kids couldn't act their way out of a bag. I also liked Rascals, since it was played for laughs, and carried it off well, but I didn't mention it, since all the kids were supposed to be main characters.

I've always liked the stuff between Odo and the kid in "Shadowplay". "Hero Worship" deserves a nod, too.

I can't think of any good "single kid" episodes. So I'm just going to give a shout out to 'Rascals'; It's the best I can do.

I can't think of one that I would consider a good kid episode, based on the requirements.

Personally I like "Pen Pals"

Picards reactions to Datas continuing comunication with the girl is great.

Based on the selection criteria, I'm going to have to put myself in the "Can't think of a single one" camp.

I liked Tuvok and the kids in "Innocence". I think it showed a lot about his relationship with his own kids and how much he missed his family.

Forgive me, because I didn't bother to read any of the thread before posting. But I think that TNG episode where the girl has the evil imaginary friend is the best KID episode.

Well, I liked TNG's Future Imperfect. Little Jean-Luc Riker who was really a lonely alien prince in hiding...
