Spoilers 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' series [Spoiler Discussion]

It wasn't there when the first one lifted off.
It was there in every shot shows that side of the hangar in the episode.

Yep. Darth Vader is looking for the fleeing transport, not just any ship inside the docking bay. Why would he notice the one off in the shadows if there are no lights on or engines running?

So I think finale will end with Obi-Wan making contact with Qui-Gon.

I don't think it will be a big scene, Obi-Wan will just be meditating again, he'll just finally make contact and the episode ends.

How I would do it, is Obi-Wan is sitting there, eye's closed, close up on his face, he opens his eyes and says "Master?", and cut to credits. With out without the audience hearing Qui-Gon. Either would work.

And thus did Obi-wan the Gray become Obi-wan the White. Balrog and everything.

Pretty satisfying conclusion, overall. Not perfect, but what is? A wee bit predictable, in spots. But it doesn't destroy continuity the way so many seemed to think it would. And the big beats land pretty cleanly. I actually really liked one bit of dialogue call back to ANH that I didn't see coming.

I think it's safe to say that I loved this show. Really well done, with heart and care. Not everyone will agree, and that's fine. But I look forward to viewing it again, in it's entirety.

This series is damn good even if it has slow spots. It has a satisfying emotional ending and definitely concludes with more heft than The Book of Boba Fett. I hope Ewan comes back for more.

Agreed, but I don't want there to be another season.

I don't think they can get away with having Obi Wan and Vader a second time. Would really feel redundant. And who is Obi Wan going to face off with? They've already proven that Inquisitors are second-rate at best.

This season was full of hugely important events: meeting and rescuing Leia, meeting Luke, helping save a Jedi underground railroad, learning all about Anakin (and confronting him, multiple times.)

Either a second season will feel like a major let-down since it can't compare with this hugely significant events. Or it'll just feel like they're going over the same ground again if they try to repeat what worked here.

I agree overall. It was satisfying, a tad predictable. Not everything was a home run. Reva's story felt like it petered out and didn't exactly stick the landing.

I wish a few things were done differently. I think Qui Gon should have appeared when Obi Wan was nearly crushed by all the stones, to give him the strength he needed to get out of that mess. As it was, it fell flat.

Overall, I enjoyed the show a lot, but it falls just short of greatness. Definitely a solid B, maybe a B+ if I'm being generous. Lots of good stuff, but most episodes also had some unforced errors with roughly 2-3 really dumb moments per episode.

I liked the finale a lot. Not what I was predicting at all. Only one little complaint. I thought the opening space battle.chase was a little contrived. The Star Destroyers would need to re-aim their guns. I don't think they could fire that fast. But whatever. Not a big deal.

It was awesome how Vader was fighting off those rocks being hurled at him. And I really liked at the end when Kenobi told Leia that no one could know about him. Shuts up those complainers from the initial episode.

And how he described Leia's parents to her was awesome.

Despite some (relatively minor) qualms with the season, I thoroughly enjoyed the finale. Thumbs up.

They of course managed to massage a few details into place for Ep 4, such as Obi-Wan's use of "Darth", but now we know Leia has a heart of cold stone, seeing Ben cut down like that and barely registering an emotion at all. ;)

Obi Wan is useless. That’s twice he’s had the chance to get of Vader and he blows it. Every death he commits is on him now.
It was an okay finale but I wouldn’t have had that Vader fight and have him win again. I know that was the selling point of this show but I think a show just about Kenobi is enough. It’s interesting they used some of the techniques from scene 38. Especially the the different saber colours reflected in his eyes.
Is it me or did the Emperor look a bit off? The makeup looked different. Looked like a bad copy of him.

It also explained how Leia pretended she didn’t know him in the message. Because it’s a secret. :)
