It made the SW seem small when too many main characters all had some pre-OT connection. It was fine for Bail to know Obi-Wan and Yoda (considering the role they take on at the end of ROTS), but the connections you mention were ridiculous and did not serve the story at all.

I think the general idea is that microbiota are so small they are bordering on interacting with the universe at the quantum level where things like time and space start to work a little differently. That would allow them to interact and resonate with the force more directly (kyber seems to operate on the same idea, since they're living crystals.)I never understood midichlorians as a conduit to the force, or the actual consciousness behind the force.
More like a correlated phenomenon.
A single celled organism that is sensitive to the force just like other beings, but they coalesce where the force is strongest, so happen to live inside Jedi in large quantities. Like moths toward light.

sure. Strategy and playing style are up to me. But those rarely reflect on the morals of the experience. Well, I guess sometimes they can but it’s rare.Ok, but the game doesn't just play itself...you still choose how to participate? Right?
Different strokes, etc. Video games are one of the few times I'm less morally reflective.sure. Strategy and playing style are up to me. But those rarely reflect on the morals of the experience. Well, I guess sometimes they can but it’s rare.
when they have a story they can be interesting as tv, novels or other media, though.Different strokes, etc. Video games are one of the few times I'm less morally reflective.
Usually, but that doesn't invite reflection the same way, at least for me. Depends on the game. Especially if I'm playing Lego games.when they have a story they can be interesting as tv, novels or other media, though.
Well they are not telling a particularly interesting story here so they might as well do fan service.![]()
McGregor is a strong actor, and deliver a fine performance as Obi-Wan in the PT (by far, the best thing about the PT which has aged well), but in what was sold as a showcase for the character has made him largely a supporting character of his own narrative, allegedly "rising" to some occasion in the 6th and final episode. So far, its not coming off as a SW story anyone was asking for.
It's not particularly spiritual when Force potential can be passed down automatically in a genetic family bloodline as ROTJ made explicit. Force use has always had some kind of biological connection, going back to Lucas' early notes in the 1970s. ( It's implicit in TESB, which goes out of its way to emphasize Luke's importance. Why this kid, as opposed to any other disgruntled young person mad at the Empire? ) It only makes sense that there would have to be some kind of biological connection as limiting factor, because you need some way to explain why the bulk of the galactic population isn't out there running around doing the space wizard thing. Are trillions of sapient beings simply not spiritual enough?
One, I disagree with you that Obi-Wan is coming off as a supporting character.
And two, I disagree with this idea that this is not what "anyone" was asking for. Who is "anyone"? Because I'm enjoying this series.
The Reva spin-off is probably a prequel, or doesn't exist at all.
Kenobi Finale Leaks
Leaks of the finale say she is killed by Vader. The story leaks for the other 5 episodes from the same source were 100% accurate, so it's a good chance this is as well.
I'm enjoying "Obi-Wan" very much. In fact, I think it's better written and has more depth than either "The Mandalorian" or "The Book of Boba Fett".
One, I disagree with you that Obi-Wan is coming off as a supporting character.
Pretty lame episode. As others stated, best part was the Vader fight. Him just toying with her was stark reminder how good a fighter he's supposed to be.
Supposedly they are changing the ending so she survives for the new show. I guess we will find out next week
Many a fan see the series as more about Reva than Obi-Wan.
Most of the time Grogu is barely a character. He is either a plot device to motivate Mando or an element of chaos to make the plot more complicated.Reva is no more the lead than Grogu is in The Mandalorian. Very important, yes, but not the lead nor the main focus.
In the OT, the Force--as taught to Luke--did not speak of biology / what elements were in a person's blood.
