I bought all those x wing books recently. They are the ones I haven’t read yet
I do like the later stuff. The Fate of the Jedi books where Luke and Ben are exiled was fun. I didn’t mind Catalyst as well but I understand the crictisms of the book being falsely advertised. If you take the Stackpole stuff with the Zahn stuff, along with a couple oddball books, you have everything you need in the Expanded Universe.
Knowing Vader, it was probably intentional.I haven't read the whole thread, but did some one work out why Vader just stood there and let the droid rescue Obi-Wan?
But Vader will die without the helmetI take it the second battle will be preceded with a scene with Ben and Vader together with his helmet off - otherwise why bother hiring HC?

i’m starting to suspect he’s doing the Hook thing: letting him go to give him a chance to get back in shape as he finds him an unworthy opponent at this time.Knowing Vader, it was probably intentional.
Depends on how long his long-game is. Vader will eventually 'kill' Obi-Wan, after all.Intentional. Vader is toying with Obi-wan at this point, making him suffer. It'll backfire.![]()
Nope, Valin Halcyon was the name Corran's father Hal Horn was born with. Corran's grandfather was Nejaa Halcyon, a Jedi who had Valin with his secret wife Scerra and passed their child off as his Padawan. After the purge, Nejaa was killed and Scerra married Rostek Horn, who adopted Valin. Keiran was an ancestor who was a Jedi some 400 years prior.I think Valin Halcyon was Corran's grandfather, wasn't he? His father was Hal Horn, aka Kieran Halcyon, IIRC- the name Corran used later at the Jedi Academy and when he was under cover searching for Mirax Terrik later on?
Man, it's been too long. Stackpole's books and the Rogue Squadron comics used to be my favorite part of the EU and I had all of it wired in. No longer.
I noticed that as well. Probably an artistic choice to make the duel more brutal looking.Honestly the worst part about this duel was the shower of sparks whenever Vader and Kenobi's sabers came into contact. Like when did that become a thing?
