Petition: Seven of Nine Spinoff

I honestly don't think these Nineties Trek folks would be a good fit.

RTD will be quite busy with running DW, which seems to be a very taxing job.

And anyway, no offense, but even ISB and RTD wouldn't be my first choice to run a female-led and hopefully centered show. (ISB is quite conscious about his past limitations in certain areas, judging from his interviews). In the writer's room, sure. Not that I think either of them would be interested btw.

Star Trek: Picard ending after S3 :wah:

This petition is designed to let Picard Executive Producers Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Rod Roddenberry, and Paramount+ know that we want a spinoff featuring Seven of Nine.

No, especially not after the Seven-Raffi cringe of S2. Seven is a decent character but I'm not sure she carries an entire franchise on her own. That's just my opinion, though. Hope y'all get what you want. Easy enough for me to skip the stuff I don't want to watch.

I'm not crazy about the TNG reunion (it has the air of getting the gang together to push Grandpa around in his wheelchair).

Jeri? Maybe Michelle would, too. I've seen her on panels and in interviews, and she's so intelligent, reflected (is that even an English term?) and eloquent, I have to think she'd be great as a producer.

Yeah, she's highly educated and very articulate, and I get a feeling she'll attract the venom of the Alt Right and Fandom Menace on her political views:

Can't do it. Sorry. I would rather see quality vs. quantity. But good luck, your in the mid 500's so far.
(This petition remindes me of another petition on change.org:)
"Designate Kurtzman Trek as Non-Canon"
8,240 have signed. Let’s get to 10,000!

At 10,000 signatures, this petition is more likely to get a reaction from the decision maker!

You expect Kurtzman and Co. to de-canonize their own work?

Umm ... No.

Are Rick Berman, Jeri Taylor and Branon Braga not around any more? What are they up to these days? Russel T Davies would do a good job collaborating on it too, maybe even Steven Moffat if it was all timey wimey?
Hard No on Rick Berman. He would hate Seven of Nine being bi and wearing normal clothes. Hard No on Brannon Braga too. He ran Seasons 5 and 6 of VOY, but Seasons 4 and 7 were better.

Jeri Taylor maybe. But Seven's changed too much since VOY Season 4. You'd get back to the root of the character but Seven's arc in VOY S4 was butting heads with Janeway, awkward interactions with the rest of the crew, and adapting to no longer being part of the Collective. Seven's moved passed all that.

The problem with PIC Season 2 was it lost focus in the middle and didn't recover it until the finale. That has nothing to do with Seven's character.

Seven's character has moved beyond VOY and bringing back the Berman Team would suck her right back into it.

You know who came back before? Gene Roddenberry. And we got TNG Season 1. RTD is coming back to DW and you have to think "What will he bring to the table now?" not "What did he bring to the table then?" Same with the Rick Berman Team. The Orville lost me after a season. So Brannon Braga being part of a Seven series wouldn't excite me at all.

Is a creative shakeup needed for a Seven series? Only if there's a problem with Seven herself. Otherwise, she just needs a more focused story than PIC Season 2.

All things I consider a plus
Indeed. Their political views are in line with the philosophy of Trek; those of the alt right & Co.are directly opposed. No idea why anyone thinks the producers should care.

You know they must feel threatened when they feel the need to come here and post their drivel.

And I enjoy how the usual fanboi suspects seem oddly gravely offended by the unfiltered violence in Picard and threatened by a lethal Seven Of Nine (when she was always too assertive for her social standing and had worse repressed anger issues than Spock), but are selectively ignoring the bodycounts and occasional moments of horror/brutality in earlier Trek movies and shows (ie the teleporter accident and Khan's brain worms come to mind).
