Spoilers Titans - DC Universe Series

What about the guy who was a bit...flat, like the other guy who was usually flat but got unflattened? The guy was already used to flying before he became the flat guy who could fly. Would that guy work?

Cool, Metropolis and Lex Luthor. So I wonder if that means we'll be seeing that guy too then at some point? With Superboy such a big part of the show, I find it hard to believe they're not going to want to give us an onscreen meeting between him and that guy, especially when they're in his hometown and dealing with his nemesis.

So we won't have Connor saying "fuck Superman"?

That guy played by that guy, I hope.

Do you mean that guy from the big things or that guy from the smaller things? Although they seem to stick with their own guys, so it'll probably be a new guy.

The guy from the big thing who later play the same guy on the small thing in a crossover of several of the small things.

Oh, that guy. Yeah, it would be cool to see him again.

What about that other guy?

He doesn't like tights. And the other guy is too far to the right.

I love you guys.

Titus Welliver has joined season 4 as
Lex Luthor.

"[Luthor] has a very sensitive, thoughtful approach to evil and power. You know what he's done, what he's capable of doing, except like many of those people, he's personable. He doesn't have a cat on his lap. Yeah. He's curious, which I think is very interesting about his character. He wants to know about people and what makes them tick, and how they're different from him. He sees the world through the lens both of his own power and his own inadequacy, and tries to compensate for both."

Damn! I think I'm gonna love this!
This part blows me away:
"You usually have to do this whole dog-and-pony show to get an actor to do the show," Walker tells EW over Zoom. "But when I called to kind of lure him in, I could barely get a word in. We were talking on the phone and he was just walking through his library, telling me about all his Wolfman/Perez Titans editions. He's a giant, giant fan. He'd watched every episode of the show, and could tell me about certain stories, certain shots. It was the most unexpected call I've ever had."

Yeah, probably.
But on a more serious note, Titus Welliver's a great actor and I can't wait to see what his take on Luthor is going to be like.
At this point John Cryer is pretty much my gold standard for adaptations of Luthor, so it'll be interesting to see how Welliver's compares, especially since the show does tend to have a more idiosyncratic take on some of the characters.

I use my streaming services on rotation, so I didn't watch the last Titans season (among other shows) but this encourages me to catch up.

I wasn't in love with Cryer, he was always reminding me of Alan. Effectively, he's a little too much Cryer and he didn't sell the character of Lex to me.

That said if you liked him in the role more power to ya!

(Rosenbaum was for me the quintessential Lex so that's my measure. They don't have to all be the same, but they have to be as good.)

I imagine Cryer would be better if he was ever to appear in Superman and Lois. The writing in Supergirl was never that great which I thought hindered his portrayal.
