'Tin Man' and 'Latent Image' are both very surprising entries to me among this list of many notoriously bad eps.......

I don't like how Janeway comes off in "Latent Image". Her views on The Doctor here look really bad, especially five seasons in.

As far as "Tin Man", let's just say we're not going to get into this.

That's not even the worst episode of PIC much less the worst episode of Trek period.
Perhaps not from an objective point but for me its kind of the straw that broke the camel back after the series of not so great episodes. Usualy its a mix of good and bad but lately it seems the last Pickard episodes manage to create a sequence of bad episodes while it started so promising.

A few minutes ago AngryJoeShow has just taken of his Star Trek uniform live on air off in sheer disgust.

He is a long term Star Trek fan with a huge knowledge of Star Trek and was very upset as the show has gone from looking good in the fist 2 episodes to what it has become.

The guy who played the FBI agent at the end of episode 7 also played a 29th century Starfleet temporal investigator in Voyager. They literally had the opportunity to fix a lot of the show's problems by having the guy be the same temporal investigator who comes to stop Picard from messing up the timeline but the writers are so stupid and incompetent that they immediately threw this opportunity in the trash.

The longer this show goes on the more memory flash backs I get. The feeling I have seen moments of this show before. And I did.

In other Star Trek shows and movies. Throwing the communicator reminded me of Bones loosing his communicator on that one gangster planet and so on. So many moments we have seen before and I dear I know what it going on. The fan service has become ridiculous now.

They are preparing the 'but the other Star Trek shows and movies have done this' before. And if they bring up this defense? Ask them if they are still wearing diapers, because chances are we all have worn diapers as babies. Because obviously we can't learn from past mistakes. We can't learn from our parents. We can't learn period. We don't grow up, ergo, the writers of this show are still wearing diapers. If someone brings up this defense like they have done in the past.

i would rather watch Merlin again.

I enjoyed season 1 overall. Had some issues with the tentacle monsters coming through a portal, the shag bash stuff, and Picard at the end, but I mostly enjoyed the journey.

A few weeks ago I would have said season 2 is easily better than season 1, but based on the last few episodes I may have to give it to season 1. The most recent episode of Picard was my least favorite of all the Treks since Discovery started.

I think in the future , they should institute some certification program for Star Trek writers. As a start, all writer have to watch all Star Trek series and movies which is tested by an strict exam, secondly, the episodes they write need to be peer reviewed by at least 2 writers with proven credentials of well written star trek episodes, only after verification they should have been given authorization to actually shoot it. This should prevent the embarrassing mistakes made in the last few Picard episodes as it appears the writer complete ignore or intentionally contradict previous episodes.

People who aren't familiar with Star Trek don't go around referencing "Assignment: Earth" (TOS). They also don't take mixed messaging from "Where No One Has Gone Before" (TNG) and "Tapestry" (TNG) and find a way to make it work.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they don't know about Trek.

Terry Matalas has said he's a huge Back to the Future and TNG Fan. That's probably part of why Lea Thompson directed episodes and guest-starred. Also, he was born in 1975. Guess what? That makes him the age where he would've fucking grown up with BTTF and TNG.

You just don't like what he's put out. And that's fine. But be man enough to admit that's what it is, and stop making assumptions about the writing staff just because you're not satisfied with what they did.

The budget is 8 to 9 million per episode. I think Kurtzman is skimming the budget with the other producers.

This has to be it.

There's no other reason for them to have over 40 producers across the 2 seasons and end up with such terrible scripts. It has to be some kind of money making scheme. They also got millions in tax credits on top of the huge budget.

Perhaps a call to the IRS might be in order.
I wouldn't mess with CBS. They have connections with the FBI, CSI, NCIS, and the NYPD, so you might find yourself on the FBI: Most Wanted list for libel against Alex Kurtzman.

Say it ain't so, Angry Joe!? Whoever the fuck you are, this is a devastating day for Trekkies everywhere. Or no one gives a shit.

The character is named Agent Wells. The timeship Relativity that temporal Agent Ducane served on was a Wells Class Starship, named after H.G. Wells, author of The Time Machine. I wonder if they're hinting at something time travel related???

Angry Joe should change his name to Calm The Fuck Down Joe and have a little patience.

I think everyone would rather you watch Merlin again.

I don't think so based on the preview and trailer for next week's episode. I think the name is just an easter egg.

Never work in the TV business. You'll go bankrupt.

WTF?
WTF is this? What am I watching?
This is dialogue from the show.

If you hate the show this much why the fuck are you still watching it?

Agree with the sentiment......but tone down the anger a bit.

Libel is never a good approach to things.......Knock it off.

Good for him......doesn't mean shit. Really, we get you don't like it but be constructive and polite and posting troll content and such is still trolling even if you post it with "Look what this guy said"......so let's stop that too. MmmmmK?

Consider this a friendly reminder to read the board rules......

Yeah, no. Nothing actually works that way. I mean, literally nothing. Nor should it.

I certainly hope AJS was not going commando in the <ahem> studio that day. Podcasters are not, on the whole, the kind of folk who are likely to show up in a Greg Lansky video.

Me, I'd put Stardust City Rag right right down at the bottom, with a gap in between it and the rest of the episodes, but a lot of people really liked it!
I thought it was ok. Not the best episode, but not the worst either.
The whole thing feels like a vapid cash grab by everyone involved.

I'm happy for Patrick Stewart's wife that she got to promote her music.
I doubt that a quick cameo “promoted” anything.
