I genuinely want to understand why anyone would rate this episode as a 10, 9 or 8. For me it was the worst episode ever. It seemed more like the writers were intentionally trolling the fans, just to piss them off, of make fun of their interests
Assumption.
You said it was wrong to seek a permanent solution for mental disorders caused by chemical imbalances. So the only alternative is to take medicines forever. Or do absolutely NOTHING.

No. "Threshold" is the worst episode ever. I give "Monsters" a 6, by the way.

"Spock's Brain" and "The Way to Eden" aren't on there because I enjoy watching them. They're in the "so bad, it's good" category. So, because I was entertained by them, but still recognize they're bad episodes, I split the difference and give them a 5.
You won't find "These Are the Voyages" on my list either because even though I can understand why ENT Fans would be upset with the series finale, I'm not an ENT Fan, so having Riker & Troi on there didn't bother me.

I said it was wrong? Interesting. I don't recall making a value judgment. Only that I figure there are still medications used in the 24th century, as well as other therapies, including talk therapy. I have it come down to personal choice, not prescribed as the only fix.
I offer no judgment beyond not feeling depressed because the 24th century has not cured mental health disorders perfectly.
'Tin Man' and 'Latent Image' are both very surprising entries to me among this list of many notoriously bad eps.......
That's not even the worst episode of PIC much less the worst episode of Trek period.
Indeed , they are damn good episodes. I have a feeling Garth put Tin Man on the list just to needle the writer of that episode

So if any Picard episode is going to be the WORST TREK EVER, it'll be this one. Personally I can think of about 300 episodes I enjoyed less than it, but everyone wants different things from their Star Trek.
Just to balance it out with some positivity, here are the three best:
1. Remembrance
2. The Star Gazer
3. Penance
That's very similar to IMDb's order as well if you're curious, though they've put Nepenthe in second place.

Taking creative choices as a personal attack is an unhealthy way to watch a TV show.
I can think of hundreds of worse Trek episodes than this, and certainly didn't feel "trolled" or "pissed off" by it.
Not really, given this is a pretty small sample size. The absence of Stardust City Rag in that bottom three invalidates it for me!

The budget is 8 to 9 million per episode. I think Kurtzman is skimming the budget with the other producers.
This has to be it.
There's no other reason for them to have over 40 producers across the 2 seasons and end up with such terrible scripts. It has to be some kind of money making scheme. They also got millions in tax credits on top of the huge budget.
Perhaps a call to the IRS might be in order.
I know IMDb is IMDb, but they've been much kinder to Picard episodes than Discovery episodes, and their bottom three stories are the exact same despite the larger sample size.
Me, I'd put Stardust City Rag right right down at the bottom, with a gap in between it and the rest of the episodes, but a lot of people really liked it!

I actually thoroughly enjoyed Season One - the only thing I didn't like was the whole RoboPicard thing because it just seemed to be a way for the writers to have their cake and eat it by giving him a 'moment of glory' send off only to undo it. Plus, it was weird for Data to insist on dying as it's an essential part of being human, only for Picard to cheat death via the Golem. I really liked the La Sirenna stuff and it was nice to see a different side of the Star Trek universe outside of the Federation. Given the ending, I had hoped for more of that to be honest as I liked the idea of Picard and co. doing good independently whilst travelling around the universe, making it something of a cross between Star Wars and Doctor Who .
I haven't been overly fond of this season though. I like Q a lot more as a tricksterish frenemy rather than an out and out villain. Plus, a lot of the writing feels contrived. I also wonder whether spending this long in 21st Century Earth was a bad idea. I'm reminded that The Voyage Home is only a couple of hours long and has a much lighter tone.
