I write to ask if there is some software or hack or setting that will get rid of the blue filter that Shows like discovery are being ruined by.

It is well known that blue light is bad for your health.

Apart from the depressing look and having your eyes strain it is universally accepted that blue light effects
your sleep cycle.

It is on Picard as well in quite a few scenes and also on SNW to my dismay.

Just mess with your TV settings. It'll look bad, but at least you'll get less of that dangerous blue tint.

I would just like to know why all of the footage is so dark and overly blue saturated. Visually, it doesn't look anything like any actual Star Trek movie or show. The bridge was always very well lit. The engineering spaces were always well lit. Why is everything so dark and dreary all of a sudden. You can hardly see the bridge crew who lurk in the shadows

I have already tried to adjust the settings you mention and its does not really work properly.

What we need to do is pioneer open source software and host it on GITHUB a bit like deepfake software that can recreate the original scene as it was shot without the horrible blue filter.

Sure, you just use the same kind of editing software they used to put the blue tint in, take it back out, and then render a new video file.

I hope this increases your enjoyment of Star Trek: Discovery.

Hey that's really cool. How did you do that?

What software did you use?

Can you use it on a actual movie or it just still frames or photos only?

That is how it should look instead of sickly blue sickly green tinge to everything

Blue looks better.

Only if your a manic depressive as it ruins your circadian rhythms which results in excessive drinking ,mood swings and medication which can lead to suicide. Even phone makers are now advising to cut down on blue light from your phone and most phones have a setting to enable this.

Are you one of those people who started with TNG? Back in the day many fans who were used to the moody and relatively dim lighting in TOS thought the 1701-D looked like an overly bright Holiday Inn.

As for your question, I've never owned a colour TV that didn't allow some messing around with brightness, contrast, and colour levels. Have you tried watching new Trek on a TV?

Hmmm...I do not experience these effects. And prefer blue.

Also, what a gross oversimplification of the causes of suicide.
