Sam Rami to direct Dr Strange 2

My dream post credit scene for this film, is a shot of the X-Mansion and then zoom in to see Professor X (McAvoy) in a wheelchair. He raises his hand to his head and thinks "To me my X-Men" Then we see some shadow out of focus shapes move towards him.

It would be awesome to get the first teaser for the MCU X-Men, i thought it would be too soon but given they'll most likely introduce Prof. X in this one who knows? We certainly won't see the actors for the X-Men as there's no way in hell that casting could have been kept a secret.

As much as I love the Fox movies, I'm kind of hoping once the X-Men become a regular presence in the MCU that they start over from scratch. I'd like to see their own take on the characters, rather than just continuing what Fox did.
If they want to include the Fox movies as part of the multiverse, like they might be doing here, I'm fine with that, but I'd still like to see a new version of the team too.
I saw the trailer in the theater in front of The Batman yesterday, and was surprised to see it's Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, this whole time I thought it was Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness.

I think it's a given that they'll completely reboot with maybe the exception of Patrick Stewart but sad to say he's getting really old so a multi movie deal with all the stress might not be the best for him. Complete recast is most likely with possibly the greatest attention on who will follow Jackman as Wolverine ( if Marvell has actual steell balls they will cast a short, stocky and not that attractive guy).

Wow, I think that's on the shorter side for the last few years of MCU movies.
A mini-trailer has been released to announce that tickets go on sale on Wednesday which gives us the best look at whoever is in the Superior Iron Man armour.

For anyone not familiar with it, here's the comic version of Superior Iron Man Armor.

I hope they make this new Iron Man feel more powerful than the MCU version. He has to be a pretty big deal if he’s a member of the Illuminati

It's not even confirmed yet that this is any version of Iron Man.....

Well if it’s the Illuminati there would be a Iron Man there

And it's quite clearly the Superior Iron Man open-faced helmet.

Both valid points. But nothing is confirmed. That's all I'm saying. People are acting as if Kevin Feige himself has said Tom Cruise is playing a version of Tony Stark, while we know nothing for certain. Hold your horses for a few more months, is all I'm saying.

I agree. That franchise is almost 25 years old, and had more misses than hits. I want to see a new X-Men franchise.

A new franchise in a different universe. They don’t work as well with all the other heroes flying around

I certainly have some trepidations because the problem with Mutants is just their prevalence and size (which the no more mutants attempted to address)... but a world where people with superpowers are rare(current MCU), to a world where you had I think the number floated around was like 25m+ Mutants before "No More Mutants".

That kind of world is much different than the MCU we have had.

25M mutants took nearly 40 years to get to in the comics. I’m sure that the MCU version will start with the mutant population being significantly lower. And in hiding due to racism, which will be retconned (like Wakanda) as always a thing just never relevant to any onscreen adventures so far.

I can understand the argument about the mutants maybe not fitting into the MCU, but the same could be said of Blade, Moon Knight and that supernatural side of things, which they seem to be content to insert also. I’m happy enough to give Feige and Co the benefit of the doubt as to how to do it seamlessly.
