Well, there were no universities in Ancient Rome. Most of the people building the roads (and aqueducts etc...) learn by doing - sort of like apprenticeships. A lot of that infrastructure was actually built by the Roman Army - to keep them 'busy' during peacetime.
Oooohh, this chili is first rate, ma'am. Really excellent chili. Mrs. Columbo, she's a remarkable woman with many talents, unfortunately chili isn't one of them. Thank you very much ma'am, I'll just have this by the window. Oh, there is just one more thing...
While recently out and about I came across a rarely seen Quantum of DeLorean's, (I just made that up) gathered in a parking lot. The Alpha Delorean graciously opened a gull-wing door, inviting me a quick view inside its revered interior before it had to leave. Later I tried my first fried frog leg. The texture is like chicken, but they do not taste like chicken imo. More like a not so fishy shrimp flavor, very lite.
I have those! I think I bought them for the sound upgrade. And I *think* we've hooked our VCR to the new Denon, but I haven't tried it out yet.
i still have one, connected to my main computer if someone comes up with a tape that needs to be digitized ... but other than that: stonage tech !!
I *have* one (actually 2) because I still have VHS tapes. But I haven't used either one in ages. How does one digitize from a VHS tape? If I could do so relatively easily, I'd get rid of most of them.
