That brings back unpleasant memories.
50 minutes supplemented with 40 minutes of commercials is what turned me off from watching TOS on the Sci-Fi Channel in the late-'90s.
It’s up now and it’s a short one. Just 41 minutes long.

They're getting shorter every episode.
First half of season one ranges from about 42 to 45, I checked. The episodes shot up to the fifties only for 1x06 through 1x08 and 1x10. I suspect we will see a similar trend.
Yeah, I get it through Amazon Prime. And I’ve got commercials for some odd reason. Weird glitch. Nothing else on it has ads.
Sounds like it’s up on Prime Channels, then, but not the native version of Paramount Plus.

Renee Picard was born in 1996, but the dates are confusing (July 1 or Nov 22). Not all dates are in the same format as well - no wonder it was recognized as a fake

Why is Picard treated as such a dottering old man sometimes for the benefit of explaining things to the audience? I mean, the woman is clearly *not* and cannot be Laris? So why does he keep talking to her like she is?
