Starship Intrepid - Pursuit of a Dream

I’m always surprised that we ever manage to make these films, and I always feel an odd mix of pride and reticence about sharing them (imposter syndrome, nerd shame, and all that). They’re always a shed load of work, and equal parts laughter and tears. But ultimately, the joy of seeing a finished film and the camaraderie between everyone involved makes it more than worthwhile.

As ever, all credit due to the cast and crew who put their blood sweat and tears into this. It rally is appreciated.

Pursuit of a Dream - A Star Trek Fan Production (4K).

The legendary T’Kon archive; many dream of finding it. But as one starship captain’s about to discover, legends are never quite what we expect.

I’m glad you enjoyed it, I was a bit nervous about this one because it’s so Hunter-centric. I agree, Mat’s great. And yes, this just seemed like the right film for that dedication. :)

I really enjoyed this. But can't shake the idea it was written to show off a collection of authentic Star Trek uniforms:lol:
To be fair, the last uniform isn’t that accurate. ;)

I don’t recall who’s idea it was to do different time periods, but I think it was Sam. Then I took that idea and wrote the script. It all happened pretty quickly and I continue to be surprised how well it turned out.

Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it. :)

Nice little piece, and kudos on the tribute.
:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Accurate to what period? What is it based on?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

The last costume is the post-Nemesis flashback uniforms from Picard. It’s not bad at all, but it’s not entirely accurate.

You FX is very good, Nick...who does them for you?

(damn, that tribute to Barbara really got to me when I saw it:confused:)

Sam Cockings did the FX for this one. He is very good. :)

I’m glad you appreciated the dedication to Barb. This is the first film we’ve released since she passed and it seemed an appropriate one. I wish she was around to see it.

Liked it and happy it wasn't some time-travel mechanic behind the constant visits; what you did story wise worked VERY well.

But like I said in the Youtube thread...Where's the 32nd century visit? ;)

Thanks, glad that you enjoyed it. Also, LOL. But if you want a 32nd century visit, check out Vance Major’s films. ;)

Seems every posting in the post-Voyager era gets it's own uniform now so you're good!
You may have a point there. ;)

Actually, in all seriousness, I need to make some of those variants. There’s no good reason they shouldn’t be used alongside each other. And I always liked the mix and match look of Generations. :)

Idea: Each division wears a different variant?

Command: Red Lower Decks
Operations: Gold turtleneck on the FC uniform
Sciences: Blue Picard (Flashback)
