Impressive playlist!
This scene from "Chrysalis" in season 7 makes me curious...how did Kira get to wear Lola Chrystalle's dress - did she go to Vic and ask for it? or did Odo? and since Lola was Vic's hologram, how could the dress exist outside the holosuite?

Assuming the holesuites work the same way as the holodecks on the Enterprise, certain simple items are made of replicated matter that can be removed from the holosuite. Examples include the water in Encounter at Farpoint and the paper in Elementary Dear Data.

Sooo no body 'LIKE's a fun fan collection of characters Odo/Kira clips for DS9 fans? I just like letting fans know it's there for quick reference or sending links about scenes or writing fanfic.

Chimera is an interesting episode, and the Nerys/Odo scene beats Beverly/candle, but the writers forgot a lot of development that happened in His Way. Odo had "thawed out," hadn't he?

“Chimera” does show Odo taking a step back, after “His Way” but only in the context of Laas’s effect on him as another changeling. When Kira lets Laas escape, releasing Odo to meet him, he realizes the depth of her devotion. Still, the episode foreshadows the fact that Odo couldn’t remain on the station, he and Kira couldn’t have children, they wouldn’t grow old together.

The best thing about the Odo/Kira arc was how it began with a long respectful friendship ….and, though both Nana and Rene were opposed to the romance, the actors portrayed it so convincingly.
The "golden mist" scene didn't remind me of Beverly and the candle so much as the female Companion in TOS "Metamorphosis."

I just found out Nana Visitor has been writing a book, A Woman’s Trek, due out this fall, possibly also a documentary….based on interviews with many women writers and actors from Trek.
