I'm honestly more excited for Picard now than Discovery.
I didn’t pick Discovery back up after E3 of S4. Just couldn’t engage with it at all. Which is weird because I liked Season 3.
Definitely more excited for PIC.

S2 seems (mostly) 2024, we are just presuming they don't get to the 25th Century until the end (could be wrong?), however for S3 Matalas has been teasing A LOT of a new Starfleet vessel for monthsIt makes sense that some sets remained the same. Sir Patrick said that he had only one night of sleep between shooting seasons 2 and 3. So, it stands to reason that they kept some of the sets to make this kind of shooting schedule possible. Seasons 2 and 3 are probably more like one long season plot-wise, at least that’s the impression I keep getting when I read new interviews.![]()
I wouldn’t be surprised if they went through multiple timelines and eras. I bet most of what we’ve seen is in the first 2 to 3 episodes.

He was back in Starfleet in Voyager. Notice how he had actual rank instead of a provisional rank like we saw the Maquis crew use. Plus he was in uniform in the very first episode. He was recommissioned so he could go on the mission.Paris is back in Starfleet.
I hope not. if I want what was before I'd watch what came before. I watch these shows for new stuff.Everything is going to be as it was before.
Thanks to Past Tense, we already know what happens if there's no Bell Riots. Earth's 21st century becomes even darker, no Federation is ever formed, and by the 24th century Alpha Centauri is in fact a Romulan colony.Maybe Q screwing with the Prime timeline means no Bell Riots?
Exactly how are they "rebels"? Picard resigned in protest of Starfleet abandoning the evacuation of Romulus, Raffi was discharged as a result of that, and Rios was discharged because of the cover-up which involved his ship being erased from the official record.Starfleet rebels (Picard, Raffi, Rios),
The idea that Voyager's Maquis crew would have received pardons after arriving home is hardly a radical idea. As for them staying in Starfleet, I was under the impression Tom Paris was only serving in a publicity function.Maquis members (Paris, Chakotay, maybe B'Ellana)
No actually. His official status in Caretaker was simply an observer for that mission, and afterwards he was supposed to go back to prison until at least his next scheduled parole hearing. Indeed, throughout Caretaker, though Tom does wear a uniform, he does not wear any rank insignia on his collar at all. It's not until the end of the episode when Janeway formally reinstates him. And really, he should have been wearing a provisional rank like the Maquis crew, after all he's a former Maquis himself and he gets his rank at the same time they do under the same circumstances. Only difference is his daddy's an Admiral. He was back in Starfleet in Voyager. Notice how he had actual rank instead of a provisional rank like we saw the Maquis crew use. and here's one with Isa Briones, Evan Evagora and Santiago Cabrera:The Picard cast did their pre-season press junket a couple of days ago and the first of those interviews has been posted - here, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd. (Haven't had a chance to watch it yet so can't comment on the content).
Begisn with either a slip of the tongue or slip of a spoiler from the interviewer? The Picard cast did their pre-season press junket a couple of days ago and the first of those interviews has been posted - Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd. I noticed that. He did the exact same "slip of the tongue" in the interview with Isa, Evan, and Santiago. So either he's really nervous and slipped up twice, or there's a lot more to that.Begisn with either a slip of the tongue or slip of a spoiler from the interviewer?
