1:350 Pike Enterprise build

Ironic that the element that caught my eye is the blueprint type drawing of the B-9 Robot! You ever build the Moebius kit?

Seriously, that is just beautiful! You even have the "finger" lights within the bubble blinking! Not an easy feat as I understand.

Seeing the Enterprise new and shiny like this makes me think of Pike and his crew starting out when the ship was still new and all her adventures were yet to come. I love how the nacelle caps and the nav deflector have been painted here—gorgeous!

It also reaffirms Matt Jefferies created something that no successive design has ever matched.

AGREED!!! Also, I tend to bring in Robert April in my head canon. I really hoped to see him and his doctor wife fully realized in TOS format for a real prequel Star Trek adventure. This model makes me dream of such an adventure... a time with no Vulcans, no Klingons... a time where his space was the last vast unknown.
