Favorite one-off women characters?

Vedek Yassim seems to be a favorite--might have to revisit that episode.
Also Sakonna, think she could be counted as a one-off.

I’m surprised no one else mentioned Arissa, or Fenna….partly what intrigued me about them was how their characters were divided, two different personalities unaware of each other, having no memory of the other’s life. There was a strong element of mystery, and pathos, in both women's stories. Dey Young really loved playing Arissa and both she and Rene enjoyed the love scenes. She and Sallie Richardson were both so attractive and their costumes were memorable. Fenna actually wore the same red gown that Kirk’s old flame Antonia had worn on horseback in Generations (strange choice for a riding outfit)…. and it was worn again in VOY.

She was in two... "THE HOUSE OF QUARK" and "LOOKING FOR PAR'MACH IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES".

She was a great character, so if there is a 'two episode' version of this game, I'd pick her, too.

I agree, Grilke was magnificent, though not a one-off. Mary Kay Adams commented: "Star Trek is fabulous because it's the closest thing to playing classical theater. It's very archetypal, very Shakespearean in its scope. All the aliens are of heroic proportions..."

Sakonna was a fascinating character too. I liked how Quark actually points out the logic of a peace treaty rather than the weapons she purchased. Sakonna didn't seem to have the same super-abilities as most Vulcans; she failed to mind meld with Dukat, she gets knocked down a couple of times, and never pulls a Vulcan nerve pinch.

I think that even Spock, Tuvok and T'Pol would have had difficulty getting into Dukat's mind!

Dukat would have been a tough nut to crack!

As Sakonna, Bertila Damas said she had a wonderful time working with both Armin Shimerman and Marc Alaimo. She and Armin quoted Shakespeare lines to each other and drove the director crazy.

When I met Tracy Scoggins, she said she loved wearing the Cardassian makeup so much she wore it leaving the lot and also while between takes on the lot and scaring some of the tourists.

(Tracy Scoggins is, by the way, gorgeous. Even under Cardassian makeup... supremely gorgeous.)
She shoulda worn it on Babylon 5. :lol

I liked Megan Gallagher better as Nurse Garland….that “Invasive procedures” episode creeps me out - !
Megan's sister-in-law is Catherine Hicks from The Voyage Home.
Would never have recognized Tim Russ under the Klingon make-up.

I was focusing only on the women characters in this thread. You could start one for the men one-off characters if you want.

^... ahh..... i didnt realise it until this very moment:hugegrin:

I'd forgotten Makbar but recall "Tribunal" was one of the many 'O'Brien must suffer' episodes. It seemed odd that Makbar would be referred to as Chief Archon - no connection to the Archons in TOS.
