I doubt her coat is full of phasers, now candles on the other hand...I'm sure Beverly's coat is full of phasers too, I know what she's like.

If we get another prequel, I’d rather explore that “lost era” between The Undiscovered Country and Encounter at Farpoint. See how the Federation and Starfleet transitioned from the era of Kirk and Spock to the era of Picard, Sisko and Janeway.
A midquel? I like the idea. Make it an anthology series about the explorations of the Enterprise B and C, plus other ships. If we get another prequel, I’d rather explore that “lost era” between The Undiscovered Country and Encounter at Farpoint. I'm torn on thinking Kirk smashing the Enterprise through the energy barrier in "Where No Man Has Gone Before" was okay or needlessly reckless. There's a thing out there that they don't know what it is, so let's start poking it. A lot of people may have died just because he didn't want to wait. 11 people's family lost loved ones. Would they have ever known what the barrier could do unless they had gone through it? Was the only clue that it would fry people with ESP's brains the fact that it fried people with ESP's brains? I could go either way. Risk is their business.
