I'm really glad about this. But after what happened with Discovery S4 (which I've still not been able to watch) I'm not going to trust it until the episodes actually start to drop!

The difference here is that Netflix wasn't promoting Discovery at all.

If Amazon is actively promoting it, I think it's less likely to change.

I thought it was interesting watching NCIS the other night about all the comments about different Star Trek tv series. Especially talking about the Stargazer and TNG and Ds9 and Voyager.I saw an NCIS older show the other day McGee is talking about the Wrath of Khan and the Kobayashi maru scenario to help solve the case they were working on.

Most likely. And Orla Brady/Laris will probably be promoted to either a special guest star, or cast member, as she’s got an increased role as well.

That's intriguing with Jeri saying they're almost done filming season 3 already. It would would be great if Orla Brady was in season 3 too. Laris is a great character and I'm looking forward to see what happens with her charcters story arc in season 2.

... Picard is wearing a fancy Starfleet jacket and smiling. Since he wouldn't be wearing such at the beginning of the series, is this perhaps a shot from the season finale? Is he back in Starfleet? Ready to embark on the mystery ship of S3????......
