DC's "Naomi" coming to CW from Ava Duvernay

I'm still wondering if this is in the Arrowverse or not. It could be confusing to have two Superman-related shows on the same network in different continuities, but they've featured John Wesley Shipp's Jay Garrick on Stargirl's Earth-2, so I guess it's not out of the question. Still, I'm hoping it is Arrowverse, and that we might get some crossovers with Superman & Lois.
Naomi: into the Super-verse

Aren’t they all in the ArrowVerse? Crisis showed us that.
Isn’t it called the Superman Universe now? That’s what Tyler called it at the DC Fandome

Naomi would fit in well with Superman and Lois--in fact, an arc focusing on the superteens could work well. The Arrowverse could actually have its own version of Young Justice/Teen Titans at this point.

I'm a little curious why she's saying superheroes aren't real, after she already saw Superman. Soes this mean Superman is operating in secret or was that maybe a dream or some kind of vision?

I'm assuming she lives on an Earth where Superman and other superheroes are just fictional characters. (In the Arrowverse, Superman was a fictional character on Jefferson Pierce's Earth pre-Crisis.) The appearance of the "nonexistent" Superman is probably part of what sets her on her journey of discovery. This would be a change from the Naomi comic, which was set firmly in DC's superhero-festooned mainline continuity.

Rewatching the teaser scene that was released earlier, I realize that what she ran to see was reported on social media as "a crazy stunt" involving Superman, which might be how people in a world where Superman is fictional would perceive Superman actually showing up to fight a bad guy or something. So maybe her "But superheroes aren't real" line comes after someone tells her that they are real, and she hasn't accepted it yet.

Hmm that and the new trailer have me genuinely curious now. Having no knowledge of the character I was largely indifferent until now.

Since Crisis everyone on Earth Prime in the Arrowverse has the perception that the Multiverse no exists. Though us in the audience knew from the end of Crisis that was not true. I wonder if this series will be part of exploring the new rules of the Multiverse? Also leading to Earth Prime learning it still exists.
