Rolls-Royce claims to have developed the world's fastest all-electric aircraft
Just for fun, and because it reminded me of it, I compared it's stats to the WW II Spitfire (both planes have Rolls-Royce engines):
Spirit:
Top speed: 555 km/h
Climbing speed: 14 m/s
Range: 160 km (appx. range with passenger)
Spitfire:
Top speed: 600 km/h
Climbing speed: 13 m/s
Range: 399 km (combat range)
Apart from range, not too shabby.
