Anamoly 2.0.
It's way, waaaayyyyyy passed that. @shapeshifter has it right.Anamoly 2.0.
Titles have been reused before, like First Contact and Lower Decks. There have also been very similar titles, The Emissary and Emissary, The Muse and Muse, Demon and Demons, Brothers and Brother, Past Prologue and What's Past is Prologue. And that's just off the top of my head.Wait, they are reusing an episode title from a season 3 Enterprise episode?
Is this going to be related to that, or did whoever title it that forgot about that episode?
Okay fair enough. Still no trailer up on the Netflix Disco page, let alone an air date. We were all sure season 2 of Short Treks would be on Netflix too.
The more I think about it, the less I like the title "Anomaly". I think you could give half the episodes from TNG Season 6 to the end of VOY that title. Even if it fits the episode, "Anomaly" is about as Rick as you can get.
Crossing my fingers. It's probably a temporary title. Like how 'Su'kal' was originally 'The Citadel' and 'That hope is you pt 2' was originally titled 'Outside'
The Title is very bland, but damn I loved that episode so I hope its good luck. The more I think about it, the less I like the title "Anomaly". I think it's dumb to have a gap in Prodigy for the new season of Discovery. It's not the same intended audience. I don't think it's fair to kids watching Prodigy who might not understand why there's a gap and who might not be allowed by their parents to watch Discovery. We can rationalize it out here as adults, but they're not going to. All they'll think is their show was put on hold for no good reason. With the announcement of Prodigy’s upcoming hiatus(es), I can’t help but wonder if Discovery might be getting one too?
While they’re clearly willing to overlap the two series, with Prodigy’s 5th and last episode before their first break debuting at the same time as the Discovery Season 4 premiere, that’s only overlapping a single episode. On the other hand, the delay on the remainder of the first half of Prodigy’s first season could also indicate they’re splitting them up so the majority of them don’t air alongside Discovery.
But, if that’s the case/reason for the delay in Prodigy’s rollout, that would also seem
to imply that Discovery will be getting a hiatus as well, with only 7 episodes airing between the November 18th debut, and December 30th, the Thursday immediately before Prodigy’s return on January 6th.
So it would seem that either Discovery will be getting a hiatus 7 episodes into the season, or it will air the last several episodes (half?) of Season 4 concurrently with the final 5 episodes of Prodigy Season 1’s first half.

That's crazy. When I was a kid, new episodes of whatever I was watching would air either every weekend or every weekday until the season was finished. Then it would be a constant rerun loop, but at least I knew what to expect.I agree that there’s no need to keep them from overlapping, but it’s worth noting that if it were just airing on Nickelodeon proper it would likely be aired in just as an absurd and frustrating manner. Their track record with scheduling for shows meant for the same audience as Prodigy, like Avatar TLA, Legend of Korra, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, was horrendous. There would be inexplicable delays of months between episodes, it’s almost standard for Nickelodeon’s scheduling for these kinds of shows to be incredibly frustrating and often seem to be counterintuitive.
