Can anyone recognize that symbol in the poster behind Iris and Batwoman?

It looks like the symbol Despero has on his belt buckle in the released photos. All that pink on the poster makes me wonder if that is a hint of his true appearance. With that being his skin color in the comics.

Was not completely surprised by that. The 5 episode event will end on December 14th. No way they would air new episodes during the holiday weeks. Than the second question was what would they pair it with if the other series are not returning until 2022.
Seeing lots of speculation this will be its final season. I highly doubt it. Arrow and Supergirl’s final seasons were announced as such ahead of time after the previous seasons. At the very least I suspect a season 9. Which would debut before The Flash movie. Warner Bros uses the CW shows to promote the DC movies with no connection to the Arrowverse. But they already setup a meeting between Ezra and Grant’s characters. Which could lead to something. At the very least they will try to ride off the hype of The Flash character getting huge publicity connected to the movie,

I guess it could be taking over from Legend when the current season ends. My google fu is failing cos I can't find the number of episodes but in past season when they've started to air in October they've finished the first week of April.

It will be interesting if any of the guest stars appear in multiple episodes. In the trailer Barry seems to be addressing an unseen group in the Hall of Justice. I am hoping with this event all happening on one series it means the storyline is more linear and focused. Crisis felt really disjointed.

Here is a new interview with showrunner Eric Wallace on Armageddon.
Something he mentions numerous times - COVID is still affecting what they can do and who they can use. He wanted both Superman and Supergirl to appear in this. It was hard enough to get Cheryl Leigh to appear as Alex Danvers because she was filming the last episodes of Supergirl at the same time. So getting Melissa the lead was impossible.
He specifically quotes Tyler Hoechlin as wanting to do this but it was not possible due to current restrictions. That he apologized and hopes to be able to do it next time they ask him.

I should really get around to finishing Black Lightning season 4 before this...
It's the weakest season of the show -- in fact, the only season of that excellent series to exhibit any weakness at all -- but still very much worth watching.
The showrunners are being super coy about this, so he may not be "dead" (or even as dead as TV and comic book characters get). Jesse did film at least one movie recently (playing Marvin Gaye!), so they may have needed to give him leeway in scheduling.
Just because his contract isn't up doesn't mean the character ain't dead. The Speed Force might decide to change its look this series... or Barry has a near-death experience or hallucinations (not that the two are mutually exclusive)....
Renewed for a 15 episode Season Nine. Gustin was offered a multi-season deal but turned it down so it's probably they end. (Unless they carry on with one of the other many speedsters.)
