Now, there are only bad episodes left, IMO.
(Would you believe that I actually prewrote this post and copied it here when I started this season thread? Yes, I was that confident it would win.)
Favorite Son deserved to lose. Not because it was bad, I thought it was a pretty good episode (but then, Q and the Gray and Coda are personal favorites). It deserved to lose because it was the opportunity to perform "Nog joins Starfleet" level direction change on Harry's character, who was meandering toward irrelevance. Instead, some schmuck in a suit vetoed the change and insisted that Harry remain human. And we all saw what happened, didn't we?
Had Harry gotten a promotion, his character would have gone from ridiculous to meh. Having him turn out of be an alien, with new abilities and hidden genetic memories and who knows what else might have done far more for him than a few cubic millimeters of metal on his collar.
I think the first problem with Harry is that he's played by a mediocre actor.
