So it turns out the Eaglemoss Dalek figurines are really close in scale to the 3.75" Doctor Who action figures. The Daleks in this action figure line actually feel really cheap and plasticky. The moving electronic ones are kind of cool, but only available by importing from the UK (I got one already, and one more is on the way).

Apparently there are some little buildable ones too not sure the manufacturer. I don't think they quite scale to 3.75, as they appear to be buildable like Lego figures.

Our team is looking for new food on a planet. And today is National Mushroom Day. I thought these pictures are very fitting.

    Indeed!

That sounds like the beginning of a very bad movie ;)

Soon it will be Halloween! I'm starting a bit early with spooky posts as I have so many of them.

He's a 6" Black Series figure, by the way. This is not 3.75".

A friend offered to send me her broken Chakotay who had lost an arm, for me to use as spare parts for my customizing work. Instead I sent her one of my many leftover arms, as I often only need the head to put on other figures. It also inspired me to this story!

I got the new Mansion set from Extreme Sets! I love it! It's huge but awesome. There is also a staircase, I haven't folded that up yet.

A crossover between Jurassic Park and Ghostbusters. Just a little Halloween fun.

I still have most of the action figures since I was a kid and although a complete rundown would take pages (especially since I've yet to inventory all of them myself); a small sample:

Most of the original Kenner Star Wars figures including the supposedly rare ones like the vinyl caped Jawa, the medical droid and both sized Snaggletooths. This also includes a few of the playsets such as the Death Star, X-wing and Tie-fighter.
The McCoy and Uhura Mego figures (more on that in a bit).
    The Motion Picture 12" figures.
    The ST III 3" figures.
    The original Battlestar Galactica figures.
The 3" Black Hole figures (minus the rare Old Bob)
And maybe 50-60% of the Playmates TNG figures, including the bridge set.

Of course except for the Playmates, none of these are in the original boxes (nor do the boxes even exist anymore), so as an actual commodity, their collector value would be in question. Unfortunately, since almost all of them were purchased to play with, future investment occupies zero part of a kid's brain compared to an adult collector.

But my biggest regret of what I wish I knew then what I know now is in relation to the Mego figures. I had purchased them way back in the 80's at a Flea Market and just bought the two. Little did I know that even at that time they already had an out-of-production value and the seller didn't really realize what they had and was selling a boxload of them very cheap. I still kick myself for not knowing as well so I could try to convince my parents to buy the entire lot. Live & learn :(.

Last year I did this picture with Chakotay as a ghost.

This year there was a second part, inspired by a comment on Twitter:
