Warning for ignoring mod instructions and flaming, i.e. posting just to anger another poster. You're off this thread for now. You seriously need to rethink your approach to participating in this forum. Comments to PM.
agreed, thanks. I’ll ignore his posts from now on.You guys can discuss this highly interesting topic ad nauseam for all I care. But this kind of language is unnecessarily confrontational, which kind of is a theme with you, I might add. Just watch your tone and stay civil. If you can't, just keep out of this discussion altogether.
Why would you be sorry? You can continue talking about the Borg all you want in here. I hope no-one took my words as meaning we don't allow this conversation.I'm sorry, but it's always been such a fascinating topic to me. I mean, the Borg are space zombies, and theie complete lack of self-preservation is a mirror to that in execution if not conceptually. Exploring why they do what they do is something I enjoy theorizing on.
Again, completely unnecessary. You didn't inflame anyone with anything you said. This wasn't about you. I'm beginning to think I am expressing myself very ambiguously.I didn't really think I would inflame other posters or cause anyone to be kicked out with my silly comments. I'll refrain from referencing the Borg again in this thread.
That's your prerogative, of course, but – just for future reference – be aware that exclaiming in-thread that you're putting another user on ignore is seen as a troll/flame in itself under the board policy.agreed, thanks. I’ll ignore his posts from now on.
my apologies, I didn’t know that. That's your prerogative, of course, but – just for future reference – be aware that exclaiming in-thread that you're putting another user on ignore is seen as a troll/flame in itself under the board policy
MY INITIAL THOUGHTS:
1. I actually like Freeman abandoning the Ensigns here is what finally gets Starfleet to think she's a horrible captain if the latter part of the episode is to be believed. Her other decisions may show she has a terrible personality but this is just NEGLIGENCE.
The Ensigns forgot to sign out their magnetic boots. The ship had no idea they were outside.
The Ensigns didn't follow procedure.
The fact they make an excuse makes it worse.
It's a big ship. Protocols exist for a reason.
I never thought I'd see the day when the Doctor would try getting it on with the Chief of Security.![]()

With Klingons you never know.TMK, neither tried to mount the other.

the computer didn’t warn them when the pakled spy used the airlock either.Assuming they used the airlock, wouldn't the computer have a record of that?

Possibly, but Ransom didn't think of checking airlock records, just like they didn't obviously check before warping out in this episode. No, but the computer would have a record of who used the airlock, and therefore would know the most recent whereabouts of any crewmember.
I vote for complete Dominatrix-run Society by the 24th century. Now we just need to revisit Sigma Draconis VII and see how the Eyemorg are doing since Kirk took back Spock's brain. Have their go-go boots and miniskirts evolved or are they stuck in a state of cultural atrophy?![]()
