Post dominion war: A few years later: the klingons and romulans are at war, following a crushing genocidal blitzkreig by the klingons, the romulans are fleeing into the federation for protection, the empire no longer exists, exillerated by thier blood thirst the klingons line up to the neutral zone staing for an invasion of federaton space

Sept 24, 2008, Santa Fe New Mexico: playng at a concert Igor Yuzov of the Red Elvises plays his guitar so fast and at the proper frequency that he rips open a hole in existance, at that moment, all worlds, fictional and real are at his fingertips, snagging the Wyld Stallons and Leaf Seven Igor transports them infront of the Klingon Commander, and all 3 bands proceed to play a concert so unifying that the Klingon Empire absorbs itself into the federation

Okay, here's an alternate Trek timeline:

2053: Earth is devastated by World War III; the post-atomic horror begins.

2132: United Earth Government formed. Reconstruction of Earth and Human society in general continues.

2263: Doctor Zephram Cochrane develops first warp engine.

Passing Vulcan Starship T'plana-Hath detects warp signature near Earth. First official contact between Humans and extraterrestrials.

2266: United Earth Space Probe Agency (UESPA) formed as a result of a renewed interest in space exploration.

2269: Launch of Earth's first starship, X-01 Enterprise, under the command of Captain Jonathan Archer.

Earth's rise as a galactic power begins.

2365: First known contact with the Romulan Empire.

2366: Romulan Wars begin.

2367: UESPA is renamed Earthfleet Command.

2370: Romulan Wars end with Earth's surprising victory (with help from Vulcans and Andorians) at the Battle of Cheron.

2371: United Federation of Planets established. Earthfleet Command and the Vulcan Star Authority merge to form Starfleet Command.

2379: Federation Starship USS Enterprise, NCC-101, is launched under the command of Captain Robert Winter.

2398: Captain Janet T. Kirk assumes command of Starship Enterprise and begins historic 5-year exploration mission.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, an omnipresent energy field created by all living things binds the universe together. Jedi Knights use the Force for good. Sith Lords use the dark side for evil in an attempt to take over the galaxy.

In a distant part of the universe, a civilization of humans living on the Twelve Colonies have been at war with a cybernetic race. A battlestar and its crew lead the ragtag fugitive fleet of survivors in search of a fabled refuge known as Earth.

On Earth in 1960s numerous secret international agencies engage in a constant struggle against the forces of evil in a covert Temporal Cold War.

2000, IASA Astronaut Shaun Geoffrey Christopher accidentally travels through a wormhole to a distant part of the universe where he is caught in the middle of conflicts between planets, empires, and the incompatible personalities of the escaped prisoners with whom he has taken refuge.

In the late 2250s and early 2260s on a five-mile-long, 2.5 million-ton rotating space station, the sentient species of the galaxy come together in order to foster peace through diplomacy, trade, and cooperation. Instead acting as a center of political intrigue and conflict, the station becomes the linchpin of a massive interstellar conflict, and the United Federation of Planets is born.

In 2517, humans have arrived at a new star system. The crew of a small Firefly-class spaceship, people who fought on the losing side of a civil war, make a living amid the pioneer culture that exists on the fringes of their star system.

Thousands of years in the future, Humankind is a part of The Systems Commonwealth. The Commonwealth is based out of three galaxies; The Milky Way, Triangulum Galaxy, and the Andromeda Galaxy. Ships travel from one end of the Commonwealth to the other through slipstreams. The protagonist of the series, Dylan Hunt, is the captain of a High Guard ship, caught on the edge of an event horizon of a black hole. 300 years later, a salvage ship locates Hunt. The Systems Commonwealth and the High Guard have fallen. Hunt recruits the salvage crew to join him in an attempt to restore the Systems Commonwealth and "rekindle the light of civilization."

Farther in the future, in a sprawling feudal interstellar empire, spice enabling space travel is the most important and valuable substance in the universe and fuels a political struggle among three noble houses.

The allies fail to retake DSN from the Dominion. In the battle, USS Defiant is destroyed.

Now Sisko and his crew are assigned to a brand new federation-klingon hybrid cruiser to lead the fleet in the desperate mission to retake Bajor and the Wormhole once and for all.

2063: Zephram Cochrane launches a missle from Montana. It is shot down by an orbital "Star Wars" missle defense station on automation. This exchange made note of in a Vulcan log of a passing science vessel.

2378: After a brief stint as Captain of the Soyuz-Class U.S.S. Bozeman during Wolf 359 & The Dominion War, Morgan's then transfered temporarily to the U.S.S. Enterprise-E during a brief absence of Jean Luc Picard.

Captain Morgan "Bulldog" Bateson is asked to once again take the reins. A rebuilt Loknar-Class starship, the U.S.S. Vonnegut. An able starship but showing its age. They're dispatched to explore the frontier during & after the brief disappearance of the U.S.S. Titan with all hands.

2063: Cochrane Develops Warp Drive and makes contact with Vulcans.

2074: Earth Unites under a single world government

2145: Andoria Declares war on Vulcan and war ensues.

2149: The Vulcans on the brink of annihilation agree to give Earth all their technology in order to give them a greater chance.

2151: Earth launches its first major Starship the Enterprise on a mission to explore space, the Enterprise is equipped with all the latest Earth technologies including all the latest Vulcan technologies.

2154: Earth and Andoria sign a non aggression treaty.

2160: Romulans attack Earth and Andorian ships and Andoria declares war on the Romulans, the Andorians propose an alliance treaty with Earth to defeat the Romulans, Earth agrees.

2167: Romulan War ends with Earth and Andoria winning at the final Battle of Iota Pavonis, Romulus surrenders having suffered total losses and Earth/Andoria subjugate Romulus and send millions of Romulans to Remus to increase mining production of Dilithium.

2169: Earth and Andoria begin joint exploration missions.

2175: Earth and Andoria sign a new alliance agreement increasing their social economic and government ties and agreeing to share technology, they also merge their two militaries into Starfleet and base Starfleet headquarters and the alliance headquarters on Tau Ceti III, a planet previously conquered by Andoria located directly between Earth and Andoria.

2205: The Klingon Empire fearing the growing dominance and power of the Earth/Andoria Alliance attacks colonys along the Earth/Andoria border, the Andorian colony of Japori II is completely annihilated, Andoria launches a fleet to attack Klingon colonys in revenge but all contact with the fleet is lost.

2206: Earth and Andoria agree to extend the alliance in an attempt to gain more millitary power incase of a war with the Klingon Empire, the Andorians send a delegation to the Gorn homeworld and come to an agreement and admit the Gorn into the alliance, Earth send a delegation to the Tzenkethi and come to an agreement and admit them into the alliance.

2245: Tensions with the Klingon Empire become too great and war breaks out between the Alliance and the Klingon Empire.

2255: The Klingon Empire begins to suffer too many losses and signs an Alliance treaty with the Tholians in exchange for Klingon technology, the Earth Alliance moves forces from the Klingon border to fight the Tholians allowing the Klingon Empire to push back the Alliance forces all the way to Yridia and Celes.

2260: The Earth Alliance decides to form a United Federation of Planets in order to admit member worlds as quickly as possible, in exchange for resources, shipyards and technology the member worlds fall under the protection of Starfleet. Hundreds of worlds fearing invasion from the Klingon Empire sign up to the Federation.

The United Federation of Planets is Formed.

2261: The United Federation of Planets pushes forward toward Klingon territory and frees Yridia of Klingon occupation along the way.

2264: A Federation Warship on a scout mission near Klingon Space discovers the Iconian Homeworld and alerts Starfleet to the existence of a strange gateway, Starfleet immediately dispatches a science team to study the gateway and determines they can send ground forces to directly attack the Klingon Homeworld. The Federation launches a massive millitary attack on Klingon Space as a divergenary tactic and launches ground troops through the gateway comprising mainly of Gorn shock troops, Klingon ships fall back to Qo'nos but its too late, Federation troops conquer the capital and Federation ships reach Qo'nos obliterating the Klingon fleet. Qo'nos is subjugated and the Klingon Empire meets its end.

2265: Aware of the Federation victory over the Klingon Empire the Tholians sign a peace treaty with the Federation and agree to the formation of a Neutral Zone. The Federation later that year launches the new USS Enterprise on a Five Year mission into the Beta Qudrant to explore strange new Worlds under the Command of James.T.Kirk.

2280: The Federation makes first contact with the Cardassian Union and the Bajorans.

2327: Bajor following successful talks with the UFP agrees to a timetable for Bajoran membership.

2328: Cardassian Forces fearing Federation enroachment invades and occupies Bajor and builds Terok Nor. The United Federation of Planets declares war on the Cardassian Union in response. The Obsidion Order launches a secret attack on the Iconian Gateway totally destroying it.

2330: The Cardassian Union Suffering from economic collapse and depleted resources surrenders to the Federation within 2 years and signs a peace treaty and agrees to limit the size of its millitary. Bajor joins the Federation.

2332: The Breen take advantage of the Cardassian treaty with the Federation and launch an attack on Cardassian Space utilising an energy dampening weapon and conquer Cardassia Prime.

2335: The Tholians declare war on the Breen following 3 years of agression.

2345: The Breen and Tholians sign a peace treaty.

2369: Ben Sisko is made commander of Deep Space Nine in the Bajoran Star System and discovers the Bajoran Wormhole.

2370: Ben Sisko takes Jake, Nog and Quark to the Gamma Quadrant so that the two students can perform a planetary survey, Sisko and Quark are taken prisoner by the Jem'hadar. Starfleet sends five Galaxy Class Starships on a rescue mission into the Gamma Quadrant and are met with only three Jem'Hadar attack ships which are easily destroyed, on the way back to the wormhole they are attacked by a further six Dominion ships which launch Kamikaze attacks on the Galaxy class Starships, two Galaxys are destroyed but the remaining three destroy the remaining ships. Onboard DS9 a Vorta is exposed as a spy and taken for interrogation.

2373: The Dominion launches an attack through the wormhole but the attack is held long enough by DS9 to allow re-inforcements to arrive and push back the remaining Dominion ships back through the wormhole.

2374: The Federation decide to launch a full blown attack on Dominion space and send a fleet through the wormhole, the Dominion suffer heavy losses but the Federation fleet is destroyed by shield penetrating weapons.

2375: Fearing further hostilities and full blown war against an enemy with shield penetrating weapons the Federation builds a self replicating mine field at the entrance to the wormhole and weapon platforms.

A Q takes the leadership and scientific personnel of an organization known as XCOM from an alternate timeline and has them replace the human staff of Starfleet early in the Federation's history. Starfleet becomes a more military oriented organization, although science still plays a large role. Starships are designed with three goals in mind: 1)fulfilling the roles of military vessels, 2)exploring space and discovering new things, 3)being mobile R&D facilities to reverse engineer and improve tech discovered by the starship's crew.

While most research that isn't immediately useful is left to the Science department with their NAR ships, some "pure" research is still allowed on Starfleet ships. Over the years, thanks to Starfleet's efforts, the Federation becomes the leader in military and technological might. By the time of TNG, the Borg are still a threat, but nowhere near the level they were in regular TNG. The Borg don't capture Picard in BOBW; instead, the E-D blows away the Cube with the deflector cannon.

From there, things get worse for the bad guys. Much worse.

An alternate timeline is simply a timeline when events happened differently, a person cant be born 200 years later, thats just bonkers.

An alternate timeline is simply a timeline when events happened differently, a person cant be born 200 years later, thats just bonkers.

No, I think you missed the point of this thread. It was to create your own alternate Star Trek timeline and do whatever you want with it. Under that criteria, there is no criteria (I do believe the original poster did say "whatever," if I'm not mistaken).

So, we can do anything here because we're all gods here...
