CW The Flash Season 7 trailer!

When his Supergirl episode aired David Ramsey confirmed that John Diggle’s story with what he found in that box is not over. Here is the direct quote -

"We just have a moment at the end where we touch on it one more time. This isn't over," Ramsey said. "I think what was important about this and smart from the writers was to tell this story of someone like Diggle, who is such a mentor and such homegrown hero, if you will, that whatever the invitation [in the glowing green box] was — if we remember the story behind Diggle, he had just gotten his wife back, just got Sara back, who disappeared from Flashpoint — that it made sense for him not to accept it immediately, and we wanted to tell that story. This is the last piece of that story. You will see Diggle again after Supergirl, and when you do, we will continue that storytelling."

That's good to know.

Hopefully that means we'll actually get to see him in use the ring in full GL costume at some point.

^ But since they went through the trouble of teasing this across multiple shows, they've got to deliver a GL, otherwise they end up with a whole lot of cheesed off viewers.

That's a statement about what's preferable. That's not the same subject as what's practically attainable. This is the reality of television -- it's about what you can manage, which is always less than what you ideally want. It wouldn't be the first time a production had to settle for teasing and hinting about things that it didn't have permission to mention outright.

I don't think we'll be seeing GL Diggle. DC is fully back to banning multiple uses of characters (right as they're making a multiverse movie, ironically). Neither Legends of Tomorrow or even Netflix's Sandman can use John Constantine anymore, presumably because of the JJ Abrams HBO Max Constantine series that is in development. With the GL show supposedly being made, I don't see them allowing any GL on an Arrowverse show.

The only exceptions seem to be in title characters and characters established on the show's main cast for awhile, presumably because of CW's contracts with WB/DC (i.e. WB can't make them cancel Flash even if they only want one Flash, etc).

Regardless of what rules DC/Warner is currently impose on the TV/movie creators, Netflix's Sandman was always going to replace John with Joanna.

Well that's stupid (like everything about the upcoming Sandman adaptation), but he does seem to also imply they probably couldn't have used Constantine anyway. DC probably wouldn't have given Netflix a higher priority then one of the CW shows when it comes to what characters they could use.

He didn't tell Kelly he'd turned it down. He said he'd been offered the opportunity but had hesitated because it would take him away from his family, but they got interrupted before he could say what he'd actually decided.

And again, there must have been some intervening offstage event between The Flash, where he didn't understand what was happening to him, and Supergirl, where he had gained a full understanding. Hopefully there will be a tie-in comic to fill in that gap.
AH! Thanks for the correction. I was really tired. :)

So I saw a video on Twitter, which I now can't seem to relocate to post here. But it looks like Barry is finally getting the comic book accurate golden boots this season. 'Bout time.

There is a lot more location photos than just the golden boots on Twitter. Showing up over the last month during filming the Armageddon episodes. Spoilers if anyone looks those up. No surprise guest stars. All related to those announced already. One costume confirms fan speculation.

Is the rest of the suit the same? I thought there was some gold pipping before.
