"Another Star Trek trilogy"? We didn't get a trilogy, we got three movies. Not the same thing.
Unfortunately, "trilogy" has been hot media shorthand for any collection of three for a very long time.
I like to think we got a tredecalogy myself.
Not really sure where this belongs, if anywhere, but an interesting article on Alex Kurtzman just popped up today. Doesn't make it sound like he's leaving any time soon, I'm sure to the chagrin of some.

Well, it seems every other month there's a rumor about something involving Khan being in the works. I'm sure now that I've posted this, We Got This Covered will now claim a trusted source his informed them a Khan solo movie is in the works.
