    I have lots ;)

Just John, Bob and Kate having a pizza party. Remember the video that went around the internet some months ago?
But first there was an accident, the oven was too hot. First aid had to be administered. Next time you should use the pot cloth!

Also, these pictures were shot out of order, and the continuity girl was not paying attention! In case you were wondering.

The packaging for the upcoming Vintage Collection Emperor shows him to be the milestone number VC200 in the line and shows three other new figures hitting soon: Bespin Lando, Teebo and IG-11.

It is the kitchen of the Muppets Swedish Chef! It is so well done, so many accessories like food and tools and all drawers and doors open. There are some on ebay available but they easily go for 250 USD now.

Find yourself someone to watch a sunset with:

On the other hand, forget the sunset and do something better ;)

He thought she was painting the sunset, but she was painting him instead.

Seems Chakotay needs not only to be wary of monkeys:

The Baywatch rescue team arrives (never thought I would ever use those again!)

But lo and behold, it was actually only a movie set! Kathryn was in no danger!

After some recent binge-watching of Doctor Who, I've decided to get some of the action figures. I'm going for the 3.75" scale figures from 2013-2016 or whatever the exact timeframe was, so they will be compatible with other action figures I have (namely, Star Wars). Unfortunately, the 3.75" did not have as many characters as the 5.5" line (which is still releasing new figures). Notably, none of the classic era doctors or companions were done in 3.75", and no Missy! :scream:

If Character Options had started in that scale, all would been well and good. But they introduced the line in a 1/13th scale (roughly 5.5 inches). Because the figures were almost an afterward. The debut item were mini RC controlled "battling" Daleks and they had to be a certain minimum size to cram in the features. As a "bonus" the sets came with either an Eccleston Doctor or a Rose figurine. To be in scale with the Daleks, they were made roughly 5.5 inches tall. Originally, they were simply meant to be static figurines cast in dynamic poses, but a "last hour" decision was made to have him minimally articulated (shoulders and neck). The sets were bought as much for the figurines as for the Daleks, so Character Options expanded the range, sticking to that scale.

Character Options had a "boon" of several years, but then a worldwide recession hit. Woolworth's, a major customer for CO went out of business so the "store" demand for figures plummeted. CO tried to adapt and tried a 1/18th scale (3.75 inch tall) figures, but they were meant with resistance by long time buyers because, well, they didn't "match" the earlier figures. Also, the final castings of the human(oid) figures were understandably less detailed. The "monsters" like Daleks, Cybermen, Ice Warriors and Zygons looked pretty good, but I read comments from fans comparing Matt Smith's figure looking more like his "Ganger".

It seems Character Options abandoned the Star Wars scaled figures and has, in recent years, produced select characters at 5.5 inches for a particular discount chain store. the business model involves using molds from earlier figures whenever they can, and just making new heads and certain clothing accessories from scratch. Example, the torso and limbs from a humanoid "Axon" have been repuposed to make Sensorites and Voords, only needing to make new heads , hands and feet. It may seem "cheap", but the final item "works" in most cases. 5 years ago, when the line was in a major slump, possibly ending, I would have just rolled my eyes in disbelief if anybody claimed we would get "classic era" Sarah Jane Smith, Mary Tamm's Romana as well as Lalla Ward's spin on the character. last year, not only did we get them, "variants" were offered before the holidays. Two versions of Sladen, two versions of Tamm and two versions of ward! Right now, Ian Chesterton is hitting that chain store!.. Yes, Hartnell's first human male traveling companion. At this rate I suspect we'll get Barbara Wright and Susan Foreman late this year or next!

Back on point, yeah, the only Doctors made in the 3.75" line were Tennant, Smith and Capaldi and the only companions were Oswald and Pond. Slim pickings to be sure.

And now the 3.75" Cyberman figures are apparently a rarity, other than Danny Pink as a Cyberman.
I see a few listed in the UK, but the shipping to the US is around $40 each! There goes one of my display ideas.

Edit: I managed to order a Cyberman for less than that, but still more than I wanted to pay. Other figures and playsets on the way, too.

There was some recent discussion in the Playmates Star Trek toys thread mentioning the decline of the 3.75" scale. So I'm glad new stuff is still being released in that size, even if a lot are just repaints. I also discovered that Hasbro has a Marvel Legends RETRO 3.75 Collection, with figures released in 2020 and 2021. I don't know enough about the history of Marvel figures to tell if these are new sculpts or just re-package/repaint jobs. Unfortunately, they don't have knee and elbow joints. But I will probably get a few of those for some wacky crossovers.

For some of the historical stuff I have in mind for the Doctor Who 3.75" figures (medieval knights, ancient Romans), I can't find any action figures in a compatible size. I'm hoping that Schleich and Papo figurines won't be too far off. I also have some Eaglemoss Dalek figurines on order, which I understand are in 1:21 scale. Hopefully they won't look too out of place alongside the Daleks from the action figure line.

Hmmm...a Boba Fett figure I might consider...
What historical periods are you looking at? There are some smaller vendors who are doing some different historical periods, like WW2, ancient Greece. Papo/Schleich scale pretty close to 1/18 for the most part, and will have some variety. Boss Fight Studios has some of their own knights, but they are not historically accurate but part of their own fantasy world.

Thanks! And you can really see the pictures? Interesting! When I upload pictures, there are usually two options. One with "< a href =" for my blog, and one with "[ url=https :/" for forums. But this time I just copied and pasted from my finished entry, and was surprised the pictures turned up, even though they are the wong link.

It would be Octoberfest time in Germany right now (yes, in September, weird as it is) but it's cancelled for the second time. But Tom and Harry just make their own at the holodeck! I even bought special Bavarian beer mugs for them.

Octoberfest 1990 in Munich was AMAZING. Hubs was there in 89 so kind of knew what to expect; we’d never seen people there so relaxed and happy. It’s was a blast. Hope voyagers’ guys are having as great a time!

Looks like they did but we've moved on from beer to coffee now ;)

I tried to clean my kitchen table. I went to put the Octoberfest beer mugs away. I found coffee grinders instead and got inspired. It's always like this!
Remember when the children onboard had a science fair? Kathryn wants to take part with her collection!
(hope I got the red one right, it is unfamiliar to me)

I love that she’s as excited about the science fair as the kids and it’s hilarious she’s showing her grinders! Poor Tuvok spends so much time
Dialing back her enthusiasm! Their friendship is a dynamic I really love; these are great!

Over at the trek collective, there are new triable toys from sciencediv.com

—but it was an outdoor bridge for their little kids I found most charming.
