I gotta agree with 'Venom Geek Media', modern lighting interaction via CG really does work wonders in making older ship designs and scenes look brand new.

And Lower Decks manages to get alot of the ship lighting implemented in really excellent ways IMO.
 
Something I just noticed about the tng nacelles when watching that video .... It looks like there is two distinct circular red glows in each nacelle ... Does that correspond to an idea, perhaps, that each one contains two TOS style cylinders in each one, giving it more power?

There are two Bussard Collectors underneath the housing if that's what you're referring to as "two distinct circular red glows".

The TOS connie only had one Bussard Collector under each red end cap.
