That has me quite underwhelmed really....
My guess would be that that is only the beginning of the movie.
I’d be interested to see what happened in the world after everyone was told the situation. But somehow doubt a feature film would approach from that angle.
Only one of them is doing this movie. Maybe it’ll make a difference. Or not.
Ignoring the last two movies should be the approach but I heard Will Smith's wife is in the new movie. Sigh.
Her name is Jada Pinkett Smith and she has her own established acting career. She's not simply "Will Smith's wife."
She was one of the best parts of Gotham.
Me too. Definitely very, very curious where this one will go after how they ended the trilogy.
My speculation:
This movie is set many decades after the cease fire between humanity and the machines. Neo has become revered by both, for his sacrifice in defeating Smith. Out of gratitude, the machines worked to preserve and eventually revive both Neo and Trinity, but they can't remember who they were so have lived out their lives in the Matrix unaware of their past.

For me, the sequels were AMAZING. The ideas behind them, the religious overtones, they made you THINK and still do to this day.
I've rewatched the trilogy only last weekend and it still holds up.The freeway chase and the staircase fight in reloaded are still absolutely outstanding.
The burly brawl has some very dated CGI in it but is still hugely entertaining. The visuals in revolutions I think are even better and still look pretty jaw dropping today. The Dock attack is still absolutely amazing.
I just hope this fourth film has an actual reason to exist and is not just a waste of time.
We'll see, I'm looking to seeing a trailer, probably might be in front of James Bond. I loved the camera techniques done in the first movie; I hope that technique returns. Not sure if the movie was shot on film or video, I am interested in the techniques use for production.
They've mostly been working with digital cameras since SPEED RACER. I think the only time they shot on film since then was for CLOUD ATLAS, but they were using multiple formats so to give each storyline their own visual aesthetic.
If the IMDb info is accurate, RESURRECTIONS was shot on Red cameras. Given how much digital processing the first three films went through, it makes more sense to just go digital from the start.
The second season of Sense8 was the first project not to involve both of them.

I agree.. that is such a cool idea and execution. Really pulls you in.
I am really looking forward to this movie.
