So if I read the calendar correctly, and the remaining 13 episodes air without further breaks in the schedule, the series finale should air the same night as the season eight premiere of The Flash (November 16).

In Justice League Unlimited's "Far from Home" (S3 / E10 of 36), Supergirl left the present to join the Legion for reasons other than a tragedy, so its still possible she leaves--ultimately feeling out of place or more at home in the future. No matter what the motive will be, I really believe she will head to the future in the finale.

Regarding Alex--with Brooks & Jordan being called back, it might be a possibility that she dies, so most of the original cast would be written into a death (or death reaction) plot.

Think the fact of the funeral is a legit spoiler, so I’m going to continue tagging.

Really doubt they’d kill Alex — too bleak an ending to the show, given the importance of her relationship with Kara. It’d be like cutting Supergirl’s heart out as a series sendoff. Pretty much anybody else might be fair game, however (and I still think Lena would be the most likely candidate).

I haven't been crazy about this series sometimes but that trailer looks promising as an end to wrapping things up. It's unfortunate that its presence has been awkward for its successor show Superman & Lois.

Could be Dreamer. It would give Braniac 5 a reason to go back to the 31st century with Kara -- but yeah given in multiple other DC comics 'verses' Kara ends up in the 31st century with Legion (and often Brainic 5's GF) - I think they will end her series with her jumping to the 31st century and the Legion of Superheroes.

Kind of doubt Dreamer’s a likely casualty either - I feel like the optics of killing off your trans superhero might not be so great.

I don’t think it’s Alex. I saw a picture of Chyler Leigh dressed for a funeral. I haven’t seen one of Katie McGrath or Nicole Maines .

It's Beppo the Super-Monkey, who appears in the penultimate episode, makes friends, and then heroically sacrifices himself to save the world. (Wait. What? We're not discussing the series finale to Legends? Well, uh, never mind. Carry on.)

The photos I saw definitely show
Katie McGrath and Julie Gonzalo dressed in black at the funeral.
    Also,
Chris Wood and Jeremy Jordan there in suits.

It could be a 'fake' funeral for Kara Danvers, Supergirl's secret human identity. They'd need to do something like this If Supergirl went to the 31st century for all the human friends she had who didn't know her secret identity. (And no I don't think they would just out the fact that Kara Danvers was Supergirl after she left.

Except Melissa was in her Kara Danvers outfit (including glasses) in the photos.

On Instagram, someone posted a plot spoiler (if true): the episode involves the return of
    Overgirl.

UK Pace: 'Prom Again!' not quite as good as part one because it was more plot heavy, but still the second best episode of the season so far. The young Kara and Alex actors are so good that they make me only further resent the fact that I spent ten years watching Smallville.

Wouldn't mind at all seeing Nia and Brainy pop up in Legends next season, they'd fit well.

SG / Zor-El: The father-daughter moments seem too good to be a lasting thing, and since the series ends soon, all of the happy times with daddy were bound to go south with his departure. The environmental problem Zor-El (guilt) believed will lead to Krypton 2.0 was just there as his reasons for wanting to save earth.

    Alex:
The closing dialogue about being there for Kara (responding to Kara saying she does not want to be alone) and the PTSD business was rather obvious telegraphing for episodes to come.

Andrea: She claims Catco took a hit with the Luthor trial. In recent history, bias-driven sensationalism, masquerading as new stories have usually earned ever-swelling ratings (no matter the critical blows received). Unethical as ever, she uses the Acrata medallion to raid the Luthor mansion, trying find anything to lift her sagging company, no matter how bottom-scraping the act. Now, she wants to get into the business of SG and her allies all for the bottom line. Yeah, she back to her corrupt ways, but no one should be surprised to see her get yet another redemption plot.

Brainy: Who knows what was going on between Brainy and Lena; he was visibly annoyed by her trying to come up with a solution while moving into his chair, then she tells Zor-El that Brainy would not have created the virus without his help, which--in consideration of the Brainy reaction earlier--was not just some pep talk for the insecure Zor-El. It seems--or Brainy believed--that he was being underestimated by Lena.

Lena: Leaving to go to her natural mother's home... Oh, well.

    Dey:
Boring as ever, but the fact he's dating someone else leads one to believe this will make Kara long for a certain someone living in the future.

    NOTES:

Kelex / Oscar...yikes. The tradition of bad CG characters marches on.

    GRADE: D+.

Argo City is still a thing? Then what the hell was Morgan Edge complaining about then? There are still Kryptonians around.
They also seem to be getting confused what CatCo is. They’re a magazine, not a newspaper.
