Zachary Quinto is coming to Toronto!

I'm excited - Zachary Quinto is going to be coming to Polaris in Toronto next July.

I know that a lot of people are trying to avoid spoilers, but if you had the chance, what would you ask him?

I actually would like to get a chance to see him... hopefully I'll be able to take a couple of hours off from working on the con to see him speak.

(And no, I won't ask him the question that was asked of Michael Shanks at Toronto Trek 20... if you don't know what I'm referring to, look it up on Youtube. I'm not linking to it because I don't want to be banned, but it was the sort of question I would imagine cooleddie74 asking. )

We had George two years ago. And that was the second time we'd had him at our con.

I also chatted with him briefly at Dragon*Con a couple of months later... I was surprised that he seemed to remember me. The fun part was introducing Evil Admiral to him and watching the poor boy nearly faint. (Though that might have had something to do with my introducing him to Richard Hatch ten minutes earlier... honestly, I don't really know these people, I just happen to be in a position to remember them and then be able to say hello when I encounter them again.)

Wasn't Quinto supposed to be at the last Con in Toronto, but other obligations prevented him from attending? Patrick Stewart the year before that (he had to go to the hospital for heart troubles, VERY understandable. Insert your own "artificial heart" joke here).

I try not to get too excited about the guest list this early on. Things ALWAYS happen in this long stretch of time.

Yes, he was supposed to be at SFX, and had to cancel. Same thing with Patrick Stewart, you're right. And Hayden Christiansen. (I can't remember if Hayden Pannetiere also cancelled on them or not.)

Polaris has had a pretty good track record with guests over the years, though. Even when Robert Beltran missed three flights, he still made it here. To the best of my recollection, there's only been two cancellations in the past seven years. (Mind you, they were big ones - James Marsters and Katee Sackhoff. But Katee came back the following year.)

You have plenty of time to get caught up, it won't even be back till next fall! But with a show like Heroes, you pretty much have to expect Major Heroic Character A will be fighting Major Villainous Character B on multiple occasions.
