I believe they are about two inches tall and can be used for gaming. The company has done Fallout as well.

Alas, unlike those ubiquitous "green army men", I bet we'll be expected to pay a premium price for these sets.

Still, the idea behind them is rather cute, and like @drt said, I too would have thoroughly enjoyed them in the early to mid 70s.

Now I'm imagining a similar concept using Doctor Who as the theme. If released in the mid 70s, I imagine it coming with a Tom Baker figurine, possibly a Sarah Jane or Leela, and then a mixed assortment of Daleks, Cybermen ("Revenge..." style probably), and for good measure, some army guys to represent U.N.I.T. Oh, and a TARDIS of course, a hollow shell with no bottom, a bit like the jeeps or tanks that came with some of those army packages.

The first thing that came to me was those comic book forms that you sign, send in with $3 plus S&H, and receive a box of unpainted green plastic semi-blobby figures.

Also, I want them at least 6 inches. 8 would be best...

Okay, that's admittedly cool. I used to know people who did that sort of roleplay.

On Amazon, each set is $25 for twelve people-figures plus the ship. That could just be pre-order weirdness, the same company's Fallout figure set is the same number of figures is $15. That's a lot compared to 100 figures for $5, which is the cheapest I see "classic" Army Men on Amazon, but maybe if these are popular, they'll keep using the molds for 50 years and start using flimsier plastic and the price will come down. :p
