It's just such a warm feeling to be a fan of a team everybody hates. LOL

It almost makes me feel guilty for all the bad things I've said about the Yankees. Almost. :p

Ohtani has a decent chance of winning that.

Jacob deGrom has a 0.69 ERA (nice). It's legitimately possible that we might be witnessing the greatest season ever by a pitcher.

What's the point of a five-day suspension for a starting pitcher? Especially when it's for intentionally hitting a batter?

I specifically refer to Alek Manoah's beaning of Maikel Franco. All that suspension does is push back his next start by one day. It's less than a slap on the wrist.

It should be a five-GAME suspension, otherwise what's the point? What a fucking joke.

Pitcher suspensions have been a fucking joke ever since Selig was named acting commissioner to replace Fay Vincent.

Yadi has been known for many great things. Speed was never one of those things.

That brings to mind an old quote by Tony Perez about his speed on the base-paths, "I'm slower than I look."

God, the Cubs are making me guzzle so much Maalox that I should buy stock in Novartis.

April: Cubs already committed to selling at the trade deadline.
May: Maybe the Cubs don't suck?
June: The Cubs are good? Let's buy at the trade deadline.
July: Oh shit, they suck again, sell! Sell! Sell!

German Marquez pitched a one-hitter (three outs away from the no-hitter)...at Coors Field.

Has any pitcher thrown a no-hitter there?

Edit: Wikipedia isn't much help. It lists four no-hitters involving the Rockies but it doesn't list where the games took place.

Edit 2: Strike that. The Nomo game was at Coors Field.

I think management always assumed they would be selling in July, but the players had other ideas for a while.

Finally an end to the Cubs debacle. Up 7-0 after a half inning, they lose 15-7.

Arrieta is definitely washed up and the bullpen is looking like utter shit now.
