The only item I have on that list is #2, sandpaper. I use it in building models and hobby projects.

Mousetrap? Don't have mice.
It doesn't get cold enough at night for an electric blanket.
Potato masher? I don't cook.
Vinyl records? Well, if you had asked 30 years ago . . .

yes, I missed out number 6. It was meant to be a doll (any sort of doll). I have added it to my OP.

If a bobble-head counts as a doll, then that. I think any other dolls in my possession were either gotten rid of or are in storage at my mother's house.

to answer my own questions

1) mousetrap - no, my cat is a very good mouser
2) sandpaper- I think so, probably somewhere in my cupboards
3) electric blanket or an electric throw rug - yes, throw rug only
4) potato masher- yes
5) wall clock - no
6) doll - yes, quite a few
7) vinyl records - no, but I accompany my friend when she goes hunting for them.
8) wall calendar- yes, my son buys me one each Christmas. It always has giraffes on it.
9) vase -no, I received flowers last year and had to put them in a tall jar.
10) step ladder - no
11) watering can - yes, a small one
12) thermos - no.

Within 2 minutes I could lay my hands on (assuming you'd want them to be assembled in a pile):

Wall clock
Doll
Vinyl records
Wall calendar
Step ladder

It would take a lot more time to find the:

Sandpaper
Potato masher
Vase

I don't own:

Mousetrap
Watering can
Thermos
Electric blanket/throw rug (had no idea electric throw rugs even exist)

I have some Pikachus, so I guess that counts as a 'doll'.

But that's the only thing on that list that is in my house.

1) mousetrap- absolutely not

2) sandpaper- no

3) electric blanket or an electric throw rug- no

4) potato masher- yes

5) wall clock- no

6) doll- no

7) vinyl records- no

8) wall calendar- no

9) vase- yes

10) step ladder-no

11) watering can- no

12) thermos-no

I'm surprised how few people have step ladders.

Even if you're not a homeowner, anyone who has tall ceilings and a ceiling light they ever have to change.

Other than the vinyl records, I could pick up all of these between stops at Wegmans and Home Depot.

1) mousetrap
Nope

2) sandpaper
Yep.

3) electric blanket or an electric throw rug
In Houston? Nope. Closest I can get is a heating pad.

4) potato masher
Got one as a wedding present. 17 years later, it's still in the drawer, unused.

5) wall clock
Yep. In the bathroom. Keeps me from staying in the shower too long.

6) doll
Yep. A tiny little porcelain doll. It was hanging on the wall in the guest bath, but now it's a drawer. And a Star Trek Barbie set, still in the box. ( I guess that last part was unnecessary  )

7) vinyl records
Yep. Stacked on the bookshelf in the living room.

8) wall calendar
Yep, a Supernatural calendar.

9) vase
Yep, several--on shelves and in cupboards.

10) step ladder
Yep.

11) watering can
Yep.

12) thermos
Yep. It's in the pantry---hubby's. I don't think I've ever seen him use it, though.

There's a story about how I acquired my stepladder. It's not a tall one, just high enough to reach stuff on the top shelf of my cupboards and to help a tall person change the light bulbs (I'm still too short to do it myself).

I bought this thing at Home Hardware, and had to tote it home on the bus. This was in the evening, and I was in danger of missing the bus... so I took a short cut through some tall grass on the boulevard. Common sense and advice from City Hall tells us that mosquitoes love hanging out in tall grass in the early morning and evenings, and you should avoid disturbing them if you don't want to be bitten.

Well, I disturbed a whole cloud of them. They followed me to the bus stop (hey, gourmet feast here - LOTS OF BLOOD FOR EVERYONE!), and onto the bus (which came just as I got to the stop). I was fumbling around for change when the driver told me to "sit down, never mind the fare, I need to get away from these mosquitoes."

So my new ladder and I got a free bus ride home due to the driver trying to outrun a swarm of mosquitoes. And the driver on the bus I transferred to was concerned that I'd be able to get home with the ladder (I was carrying it in one hand and my two canes in the other hand - awkward at best). I assured him that I could make it, as home was across the street and half a block down, and so the ladder and I got off the bus and went home. This was about 10-11 years ago and I still have the ladder. It resides in the space between the fridge and the wall, ready for when it's needed.

I've got everything except for vinyl records, thermos, electric blanket and potato masher. I'm surprised that there are so many that don't even have one wall clock.
If anyone is looking for unusual clocks or decorative ones, I suggest either Etsy or Society 6. Etsy is pricey (but many of the vendors will consider custom orders), and Society 6 has an incredible variety of designs (few of them have numerals, so they have to be hung very precisely to be able to tell the time).

I used to have a Thomas Kinkade wall clock that had bird calls every hour - scared anyone who was here when that happened, as they weren't expecting it.

And a Star Trek Barbie set, still in the box.
:techman:

Same here. Mine are in the living room, but I was actually thinking about the 18-inch Barbie that's in the room where I am right now. My grandmother collected Barbies, and I still have part of her collection (some of them are mine, but she took to collecting long after I stopped playing with dolls).

Do bobbleheads count as dolls? I have one: Vin Scully.

Well, I have kitchen chairs, so... :shifty:

I'm surprised that there are so many that don't even have one wall clock.

I used to have one in the bathroom, but the moisture or something seemed to keep killing them, so I gave up.

I do have a mantle clock, though. (Even though I don't have a mantle...)

4) potato masher
Got one as a wedding present. 17 years later, it's still in the drawer, unused.

Perhaps a silly question, but what do you use to mash potatoes, then?

And a Star Trek Barbie set, still in the box.

Me too! (Also still in the box!) I don't know which emoji is most appropriate here, so take your pick -> :alienblush:
