Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

John Fiedler as a quirky mortician in the Kolchak: The Night Stalker episode "The Zombie"

Night Stalker episode 3. James Gregory is yet another Trek alum as a police captain who thinks Kolchak is crazy. Bonus visit from Seinfeld's uncle Leo.

And apparently Redjack is the show's resident mortician.

I also caught an ep of The Untouchables Sunday, The Jamaica Ginger Story, with Michael Ansara, Byron Morrow and Alfred Ryder. Other big names featured were James Coburn and Brian Keith.

My wife and I have been watching "The Addams Family" (for her it's the first time!)
And we've both been really impressed by Ted Cassidy's acting. For a deadpan character, he really put a lot of (very subtle) life into Lurch. Kind of wishing they used him more than just for Ruk (what are little girls made of) and Balok's voice (Corbomite Maneuver.)

And one thing that keeps impressing me. Rather often, they have Lurch picking people up and carrying them. Ted Cassidy picks up and carries a grown man, without any apparent strain or effort. Like he was picking up a (rather awkward) feather pillow. My God! That man was Immensely Strong! No wonder he can pick up Shatner and throw him around like a toy!

He also did the Gorn's voice in "Arena," though that's not what you're wishing for, of course.

Cassidy was also the narrator of Bill Bixby's The Incredible Hulk and did the Hulk's growls until his death, at which point Charles Napier took over voicing the Hulk.

Although the running order of the series doesn't correctly show exactly when Napier took over the growls, as the series was never showed in production sequence but I've identified that Napier either takes over during the episode The Quiet Room or maybe even The Confession as the final second series show Vendetta road was recorded much earlier in the season and held back! :techman:

Mike Forest in Cheyenne, "War Party", 1957. His last credit as Gerald Charlebois, according to IMDb. Also guesting: Angie Dickinson and James Garner.
