Season 13 starts shooting in a few weeks

Looks like a drone is following the person running. I wonder if it was what they were running from, or the camera?

Liverpool, where Catherine Tate was filming yesterday too - sparking the usual rumours. AFAIK though, her show is called Three... something or other. Not DW.

An unambiguously official denial:

It looks like they're shooting scenes for multiple episodes in Liverpool this week, presumably to avoid having to travel there more than once in the current circumstances.

Interestingly the clapperboards state the episodes they're shooting as "x of 9" so it looks like there's a Xmas/New Year's Special as well as the eight previously announced. (Jodie's final episode?)

^ Three Doctors?
Sadly not. In the original Tweets I saw before DW fandom got a hold of them, it was a three word title, and I wish I could find it again cos it was something like Three Late Days or similar. But that itself is under an NDA, I gather.

Which means we'll be getting a total of just two episodes less than previously. Which is actually pretty good given the circumstances. IIRC, American network shows are coming in six to eight episodes less than usual nowadays.

Yup, but I'm certain there will be some people who will be furious just like the previous times the season has shrunk. If anything, Doctor Who is normalizing to the modern British standard.

There's also always been no or less DW in Olympic years- 2008, 2012, 2016 were all short cos of the amount of resources the BBC trnasfers to Olympic coverage.

The question will be whether the run increases again for season 14.

Both Penguin and Amazon have removed the synopsis from their listing of Houser's graphic novel.

Oops. I guess it's spoiled something we're not supposed to know about

It's still there on the link:
"A THRILLING NEW DOCTOR WHO GRAPHIC NOVEL WHICH STARS FAN-FAVORITE CAPTAIN JACK HARKNESS AS HE GOES UP AGAINST THE TORCHWOOD INSTITUTE!

In the midst of kicking alien butt – and looking good doing it – Captain Jack Harkness is suddenly transported through a time-window to 19th Century Cardiff… again!

Realising there’s more than one thing afoot, he sets out to uncover what the Victorian-era Torchwood Institute team are up to behind closed doors, hoping to solve the mystery of why time-windows are cropping up everywhere. But what he finds is very unexpected, and will certainly leave him needing a hand from some old friends…

Buy it, read it, then travel back in time to read it for the first time all over again…!"

No mention of tying in to any TV stories, so this is probably a corrected or despoilered version

The line they removed was this one: "Bursting straight out of the long-running hit television series, this bold new tale ties-in directly with episode two of the hotly-anticipated series 13."

Chris Noth (and Nicholas Briggs) spotted on location for the season finale (and possibly Jodie finale) shoot.
