And the Next Cancelled Show is...

CBS has moved NCIS after 18 years on Tuesdays. In response to Dick Wolf Chicago Wednesdays and Dick Wolf Law & Order Thursdays on NBC, CBS will now have Dick Wolf FBI Tuesdays.

Holy cow, you can watch 9 hours of brand new Dick Wolf over three straight days.

That's a lot of Dick to take in.

I don't know. The Netflix shows were kind of a big deal for awhile. They might not know the actors name but I bet most remember the character. Especially when you consider he was basically your first black lead of a Marvel show. Remember he came before Black Panther.

I'm willing to bet the majority of MCU viewers don't know who Mike Coulter is or that there was a Luke Cage show.

Or that there were two Gordon's on Sesame Street.

Maybe a fresh look would be good.

Some one younger.

And a new name for the show.

"Heroes for Hire" or "Power Man and Iron Fist".

I noticed that Snake Eyes from Gi Joe has been cast as an Asian guy this time around, side stepping the "white saviour" complex, which was a complaint about Iron Fist at Netflix.

That Snake Eyes movie is going to suck. I do like the main actor but he isn't even going to be wearing the mask in the movie and likely will talk. This is the Stallone Judge Dredd movie all over again.

It's a prequel from before the land mine.

in the bts I saw, that qualified in the future, he will not be talking, but this is the past.

I just read a brand new comic where Batman fights Snake Eyes.

I more intrigued with Samara Weaving as Scarlet in the Snake Eyes prequel.

That Girl can bring it.

Who won the fight?

It was a draw.

It's amazing how easily there is a misunderstanding of intentions, when one side of a brawl can't say "Dude, why can't we just be friends?"

Probably true, but they'll do what they want. Including recasting and rebooting.

I'd consider any MCU reboot a failure. They were very big on "one shared universe" when they began, and I'm holding them to that. As much as I love many DC Comics characters and runs, one of the big things Marvel Comics have over them is not rebooting everything every few days. I'm hoping the MCU can hold to that tradition.

The Netflix and ABC shows are the redheaded stepchildren of the MCU. They probably aren't in the will.

Reading...

Netflix cancelled the Marvel shows, because Disney Plus is the enemy.

I thought it was the other way around. Never mind.

Marvel got the rights back in 2019.

Netflix is still airing their Marvel shows, so they have the rights to air the products that they made, they are just not allowed to make new media.

I can't confirm this, but it seems obvious that Marvel can't air the Netflix shows on Disney Plus, which means that can't show clips or reference earlier Netflix shows on Marvel Plus in exposition. So they can't make a fourth season of Daredevil.

However...

What Marvel will do with these characters now that it has the live-action rights to these characters remains to be seen. For example, reports have suggested Daredevil star Charlie Cox has been spotted on the set for the upcoming Spider-Man 3 starring Tom Holland.

Charlie can be Daredevil... But he'll need a new costume that's 30 percent different? but that percentage is based on what happened with Star Trek.

He can also be a Daredevil from another universe. The multi-verse basically makes anything possible not to mention making the death of any character not very permanent when you can pull a double out anytime you like.

So The CW has announced they are not moving forward with:
  • Painkiller
  • Our Ladies of Brooklyn

They are moving foward with:
  • Naomi
  • All-American Homecoming
  • Powerpuff (after a retooling)

Still being considered:
  • Tom Swift

Speaking of CW shows, any news on Nancy Drew? It's really quite good. Probably means it's on the bubble.

Its renewal was announced in February, around the same time it was said that Supergirl and Legends were dead and Batwoman was getting an unxpected third season.

I
I like Black Lightning and I'm sorry for the actor, but I'm relieved my completionist streak won't be compelling me to watch this show. I just have very little interest in the character.
If you had me whether I would like a Painkiller series after season one of Black Lightning, I would have said "No way." But after season three and during season four, the character has grown on me, between the two personalities.
