So did I. I love Kirk and Spock's arcs but I certainly find it a stretch to say there were no arcs in the Sequel Trilogy.

I miss thee-ate-ores. Public places where people gathered together to see movies at a scheduled time. What a world we lived in a few years ago.
Now, many of them demand access to your phone to perform their "contact tracing" intrusion. AMC in particular. As much money as they've lost during the pandemic, I'd think they'd be a little less aggressive about such things, but as long as they persist, they've lost a customer indefinitely in me. I don't find the lure of a theater appealing any more by any measure.

Me too. Far more relaxing, IMO, and you're not forced to spend $30 on a $5 collection of drinks and snacks. I get they need to make money, but it had gotten pretty absurd, honestly, in the pre-CV19 era. The added silliness over contact tracing just put it over the edge for me.
They were not the main characters. They were side characters - and in some cases mere fanservice.
Rey had an arc. Poe had an arc. Finn had an ok arc that fumbled sadly.
Solo had an arc off a bridge.
