Amazon ends Absentia after three seasons (which is what it was planned for anyway), a pretty long wait for an announcement considering the third season came out a year ago.

Also, holy crap, that was such a bad show I dropped it during the first season.

Was...was this meant to be sarcasm? It's so hard to tell online...

I haven't seen the show, but potentially the point would be to watch an entertaining TV series? Any show one gets into will be finite...

I'd also say that it doesn't really end in a cliffhanger, so it's an entertaining one and done series:)

Netflix the Library of unfinished products.

I ignore so much of the Netflix only content they have because these days the majority end up cancelled.

It always bummed me out that, after investing so much time and money into the new Dark Crystal series, Netflix canceled it after only one season. So much wasted potential. :(

Sure, but that doesn't take way from the incredible work that was put into the first season...and it stands on its own.

You’re right of course, and I will always be grateful of what they did accomplish. I just hope that one day they release it on BRD with extras. No telling when or if that will ever happen, though.

The problem is that I don't think Netflix knows how to market things properly. Only if it's something popular will they ever throw marketing money at, and the Netflix UI is horrible. I find it difficult to find anything on it unless I've already heard about it and can type it in for it to come up. Too much of anything on there depends on chance encounters, and it's far too easy for something to be buried, leading to cancellation.

As much as I love Netflix and often find myself defending it, I do agree with both of these points.

Yeah, I do love it too. It is a great service. But there have been so many times where Netflix will spotlight something, find it interesting only to not remember what it was, and not being able to find it. It's a very cluttered UI with too much "If you liked X, you''ll like Y. Or Because You watched X, Check out Y." And it leads it down the road to being next to useless. Also, their new-releases section is a joke.

My suggestion is that whenever you see something you might be into instantly put it on your watch list. That is kind of how I do it so I can not find the stuff easy you can if you put a lot stuff on it sort of track what will be leaving the service soon.

Oh, I do that too. The problem then is that the list becomes rather unwieldy. And then there's the fact that the 'continue watching' row keeps changing places and sometimes have to scroll far down the list of categories to find it.

Yep my list is long as well. It helps a little though to look at it from the movie option were it only shows the movies then if I want to look at the tv shows I do it that way as well. Of course I have so many shows and movies I still need to see I am backlogged big time. I am going to need 2 lifetimes to get them all in. Doesn't help I am a Trek addict and sometimes just says, to Hell with the backlog. I want to go watch Yesterday's Enterprise again for what must be the hundredth time by now.

I've never watched the WWE. You've never heard that phrase before?

I do that too. Thing is, It takes me so long to discover something I'm interested in this way, not because there's not enough, but because the way the UI works makes for a very time consuming process. And I've noticed that if you have a list that's quite long, not everything will show up until something is removed. So, to me it feels like everything is just drowning amid content and it feels quite directionless.

I feel that way as well. Sometimes to me it feels like to many choices. It's like I want to see that but not in the mood and or whatnot. Made even worst because I got long lists at places like Hulu and Amazon Prime and HBO Max etc as well. In fact right now I am basically watching almost 20 shows from reruns not counting weekly new esp of shows I watch. My list is basically clone Wars.amazing Spiderman cartoon, Tru Blood, Agents of Shield, Lucifer, Twilight Zone(classic), Highlander,Enterprise,Stargate, old Doctor Who as in starting in the 60's, NYPD Blue, X-Files, Fraser, Ally McBeal,King of the Hill 3rd Rock from the Sun, Green Acres,Transformers Prime and classic and literally just finished West Wing and For all Mankind this past week.

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not a tech guy. What is UI?
