Free Outlook-Like Software?

Does anyone have any recommendations for thick-client, Outlook-like (perhaps even Outlook-capable) calendar software? Thanks in advance!

I'm a satisfied user of Open Office. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to offer a calendar component along with its other great apps.

Not as part of the main package. But there is Sunbird (a stand-alone calendar app) and Lightning which is the same thing only as an extension for Thunderbird.

There were plans for Evolution (A Linux/*BSD/Open Source) mail program to be ported to Windows but I don't know if that ever happened because it was e-mail/Calendar/Contacts/tasks in one.

The KDE PIM software Kontact is currently being ported to Windows. It should be available around the same time as KDE 4.1 in June

It's not official (GNOME doesn't really care about cross-platform like KDE does), but a port does exist, although it is XP-only.

If you have access I'd suggest Evolution.

I use Thunderbird and love it. I also have Sunbird.
