The first one, I’m not sure..it said Picard’s chair, so I posted that too. The second image is from the arm chair..
Donny, it looks like there's a sticker on the starboard side platform, by the steps. It's not on the port side. https://tng.star-trek.info/albums/FirstContact/1/ariane179254_StarTrek_TNG_FirstContact_2211.jpg Also, don't remember if you talked about this, but did you decide not to do the round bases on the station chairs? And, having looked at a bunch of screencaps and photos of the sets, I think you're right that they are black tape lines that are sort of reflecting the lighting and looking a little greenish in hue. I think it's like Chartpak tape which has a particular type of sheen to it. Think of black masking tape. So, it kind of looks like a desaturated black/charcoal-ish color. Hope that makes sense.
@Rekkert pointed this out to me the other day as well. Thanks! I've added the round bases to those chairs last week, they just haven't made it to screenshots yet. Yeah, that does and it tracks with what I've observed as well. I hadn't seen a few of those. Thanks for sharing!
My updated "best guess" of the captain's chair control graphics. I believe that the graphics were swapped for Insurrection, as the left-handed panel in FC appears on the right-hand panel in INS (below, top two images, respectively)
Got the Executive Officer/Counselor consoles modeled/textured yesterday, which concludes all the free-standing bridge consoles. I also took the time to model in those as-of-yet unexplained recessed rectangles in the floor's carpeting, which were present in all three Enterprise-E films. I presume they were covers for electrical access used during filming. In-universe, I surmise they are covers for some emergency function purposes, perhaps recessed controls for manually ejecting the bridge module?? Who knows? Although these consoles are absent in Insurrection, the completionist in me dictated that I go ahead and create versions of them with Insurrection styling (grooves instead of tape), in case I ever want to depict them in another Sovereign-class bridge that may use Insurrection styling. EDIT: I'm missing a decal on the First Officer's console! Ack! I also created the First Contact bridge floor hatches, which are a bit wider/deeper than the corridor hatches and had ladder rungs (we see Picard holding onto the rungs as he climbs up onto the bridge in FC, but we never see the actual rungs). And yes, they were that off-center from the turbolift doors. These hatches are absent in Insurrection/Nemesis; the hatches presumably covered up with carpeting before filming. I'm gonna see if I can bust out the forward alcoves' replicators tonight before the weekend is over!
They probably rebuild the platforms for each movie, so they most likely weren't present under the carpeting.
This is why movie sets need to be made in dead malls. Film every so often.. use as Q-Zar laser tag, with a server farm to bring in money. So many sets destroyed...it makes my blood boil
Replicators have been installed! And on a non-Tuesday, I might add The bottom group of graphics I had to do a "best guess" of since we never get a clear look at them. I am also unsure of what the graphic's text is, so I went with the "random numbers" and "first two letters of the first name and first three of the last name of an actor on the show" motif that most of the LCARS graphics follow, but I'm dying to know that if the replicator graphic's text read something more fitting for a replicator. The best look we get is this low-res image from the captain's chair CD-ROM, below: (Note that the color of the graphics in the image below is heavily compressed, explaining the difference between the colors depicted on-screen) Can't make out the text next to the long rectangular blocks in the upper left corner is. @JoeRalat, do you happen to have the vector files for the bridge replicator graphics used in FC/INS? (NOT the Nemesis graphic, which was completely different) I'll be adding some functionality to the replicators later, after I model some dinnerware meshes and learn to use Unreal's Niagara FX system. But for now, I finally turn my attention to the animated LCARS monitors, and then, the MSD graphic which I'm severely dreading!
No love for Neal McDonough? Poor guy gets Borged and then wasted by Worf and he can't even get a shout-out on the replicator. (I should have known better than to like Lt. Hawk; it's Star Trek does Alien, and he's not part of the main cast, so he was bound to buy it.)
Ah you're right! I didn't even consider him. I'll add him, since he was in the film, and a few of the others I listed were not.
