What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

*sigh*

The original Chuck Norris memes were meant to be humorous; given their popularity, I was not the only person who enjoyed them. If you don't like that, I respect your right to your opinion. But I'm not going to post only doom and gloom dead serious posts for your convenience.

I think you've been quite clear on who you are, and what you are/are not going to do.

How about we get back to Star Trek?

Thanks

Well, I would hate to be seen as a waffling type.

Regarding the Klingons, the timeline is kind of funky.

2150's - Normal (long hair, ridged heads)
2160's - Augment (long hair, no ridges)
2250's - Modified (no hair, black skin, ridged heads)
2250's - Normal (long hair, ridged heads)
2260's - Augment (short hair, no ridges)
2370's - Normal (long hair, ridged heads)

The worst episode of DS9 may not be "Move Along Home" or "Profit and Lace." It may be "Let He Who Is Without Sin..."

At least the first two attempted something clever. The last is just cringeworthy because it's a lazy attempt at a message story involving the late 24th century Federation equivalent of religious fundamentalists.

While all those are terrible, I'd like to nominate "The Reckoning": it seems to be an attempt at inspiring said fundamentalists!
And the "chest kamehameha" effect is very cringeworthy. As are Jake's "red possessed eyes" (later seen on Dukat, in equally stupid moments).

It's not like internal Klingon politics were the definition of stability.

"MOVE ALONG HOME" is definitely not the worst DS9 episode. There's a lot of good in it.

"LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN..." does have a redeeming quality to it... we learn why Worf is the way he is. That was a great scene.

"PROFIT AND LACE", on the other hand, has nothing to redeem it.

Agree that The Reckoning is worse. Even though I don't think it would actually 'inspire said fundamentalists' - it's way too silly for even that.

"PROFIT AND LACE", on the other hand, has nothing to redeem it.

While I think that on the whole, it' s a horrible episode, there are still a few small things I like about it. The fight Quark has with his mother, the slug-o-cola jingle , and the scene in which they try to convince the other powerful Ferengi to come to the station and hear the disposed Grand Nagus' case out are three of them.

Profit and Lace was an insult to women's suffrage. Women gained equality through the hard work and commitment of thousands, not by one woman seducing the right guy.

Romulans and post-burn Starfleet seem to agree.

Once you go gray, you are here to stay.
Stole it from the Bajorans .
