Quick question: What does it mean to "roll over an inning"?
In the Mets/Cardinals game I'm watching , it was the top of the 5th, with one out (Mets 5, Cards 7), and the Mets had the bases loaded. The Mets walked in another run, but the inning immediately ended. (Again, there was only one out.) The broadcaster said something about "rolling over" the inning. What does this mean? Why would the inning end if there was only one out?

That reeks of "Oh, no, the game is going on too long, we need to artificially shorten it!"
It's a full 9-inning game. If they wanted to shorten it, they'd only have played 7.
It's a temporary thing to protect the health of pitchers — not just against COVID, but against blowing their arms out in the middle of spring training. Because MLB is limiting the number of people you can have on hand, the "JICs" (Just In Case players) aren't around to plug in the lineup when you want to pull a guy. So instead, the defensive manager is allowed to "roll" an inning once the pitcher has thrown 20 pitches, regardless of who's on base or any of that stuff.

It's a healthy kneejerk reaction, but I guess this is one of those two times a day when the stopped clock is right. 
For the first time since the end of last season, I went to check some of the scores on the MLB app on my iPhone. I was not surprised to see that on each team's "page" on the app is a strip of videos of notable plays and interviews, something that's been available for years. What was surprising was that they are set to autoplay with no apparent way to disable/keep them from autoplaying. This feature is likely going to kill my phone's battery life.
I just checked on my app, and the videos didn't autoplay. Maybe check your in-app notification preferences? Al's, I'm on Android, not sure if the iOS app behaves differently. But I get you, autoplaying videos are the scourge of the Internet and are a quick way to make me stop visiting a website or using an app. (Burn in hell, CNN, you don't need to have a video with every single goddamn article, and I hope whatever executive who approved that little piece of UX horror dies a slow, agonizing death from dehydration due to nuclear-powered diarrhea.)

I finally found the menu option to disable the videos. It is buried under the "Account" menu. Because that totally makes sense and is where one would think to look. Defaulting to "on" is also a new thing for the app.
Similar to the FB app. Auto start for vids is way down in the settings list.
Gotta get those view numbers up somehow!
