News The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Updates

The most exciting Marvel-related trailer since....The Winter Soldier and Civil War.

High hopes for this series.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more of U.S. Agent in the trailers. I wonder how much of a part he'll play in the series.

Maybe they’re keeping him as a bit of a surprise for viewers who won’t be familiar with him from the comics, but who will instead think that this is the new Captain America? Though I must admit that I too expected to see him in this trailer.

He's obviously going to be a big part, with him being in the center of the poster (and looking rather menacing).

Makes me wonder if they'd ever get to the William Burnside Cap.

Without Tony Stark to bank roll the Avengers, they've had to resort to corporate sponsorships.

Both shows filmed in Atlanta, so we might actually get more of her this time around.
Oh, cool. I really liked her on Revenge, and the bits and pieces we got with her in Winter Soldier and Civil War, and I've been wanting to see more of her Sharon Carter.
I do find it a little funny that they have her in all black on the poster, when the comics version wears all white, or at least did in the beginning of Ed Brubaker's Cap run.
One thing these first two trailers have proved is that the bromantic, platonic chemistry between Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan is

That trailer was great. While Wandavision has become really good after the first three pretty terrible episodes, its still a very odd show and it doesn't really scratch the MCU itch I've had for so long. Having something that feels more like the regular MCU will be really nice, and Falcon/Bucky have great chemistry as a duo. I'm also glad to see Zemo in the mask, I didn't expect it when we first heard he would be on the show but its a nice touch.

The trailer definitely piqued my interest. It looks like there is some good chemistry between the actors, and lots of great banter as well.

I'm not sure what to expect with actual story content, yet I was left feeling cold after WandaVision's trailer, and I'm really happy with where that's headed.

So far we have Zemo, who thinks the world is better off without all Superbeings of any sort (he likely buys into Vision's theory in Civil War). We have the Flag-Smashers who think that National Superpowers are also a bad idea and should be abolished.

John Walker, we still don't know his deal. But if he's anything like his comic self, he's basically the MCU's answer to the MAGAs.

I read an interesting theory that Zemo is going to be one of those types that we see here in the real world that believe that Thanos was right, and that his purple mask is a reference to his picking up Thanos' work.

The Flagsmashers = Antifa

John Walker and his supporters = Alt Right

Zemo = Foreign Interference

Just a suggestion

So looking forward to this - love the Bucky-Wilson dynamic, but could do without Sharon (completely unnecessary character in both Winter Soldier and Civil War, just that Rogers can scratch his Carter-itch... and the enabler-vibe in Civil war... urgh...)... But otherwise, this certainly feels like the movies, banter, action... hopefully, it will deliver!

Definitely get the Captain America movie vibe from what we've seen so far and that is great in my opinion.

Agreed. The Cap end of the MC/TVU is very much its own kind of story/vibe (serious, as grounded as the MC/TVU could be), and I hope Sam and Bucky do not lose that edge being roped into stories (films) where they would just be there to be there.

I like the awkwardness of friends of a friend who isn't there. Many of us have had friendships like that. They were friends of Captain America, not of each other which results in their rivalry and some antagonism. But you know that will change over time as they learn to trust and rely on each other. But not too soon because I enjoy their sparring.

I would love to see a fishes out of water story with Sam and Bucky going on a big, crazy, Guardians of the Galaxy style space adventure, or having to deal with Dr. Strange style magic.

...and they would lose the kind of development that made them work in the first place. The MC/TVU needs a past that is more grounded, just as in the comics, there were characters that were never going to have aliens or the wilder end of the supernatural as their regular adversaries.
