Romulan War Scout Ship

Albertese

Commodore
Commodore
I drew this up the other night. The details are my own, but anyone who saw the recent fanfilm Pacific 201 will see that I shamelessly stole the overall design of this ship from the Starship Velocity. I'm calling this one the U.E.S. Mimir, an Earth ship lost in the Romulan War and now mysteriously found. It's for a Star Trek RPG scenario I'm putting together and I thought I'd share it with you guys. I'm going for an art style that would feel at home in an old FASA adventure module.

Thanks for looking!

Quote: “You go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.” The ship lists used in the Romulan War should be a few NX-01's, all the Daedalus' and any other class ships (like shown above), be they different mission ships, older ships or smaller/simpler ships. Very nice and appropriate. :techman:

My first impression: The ship could be a competing design to the Daedalus since it has many of the same features/functions. Cylinder main hull with small engineering pod vs. Spherical main hull with Cylinder engineering hull.

In my head canon, the Daedalus was the first starship of the incorporated UFP, so none were around during the Romulan War. My thoughts for this ship is that it was designed to be cheap and fast to build and they were cranked out like Liberty Ships during the war.

Also, a reminder that I can't take the credit for the overall design. It is based on one of the ships designed by EC Henry for his Pacific 201 project. I'm not sure of his ideas of the designs history in his world.

My first reaction was it was an old picture from Stardate Magazine (remember that?) ... you nailed the style!

EC Henry is a pretty talented modeler, I'm sure he made all his own stuff. And I certainly have no monopoly on the design either, I'd be happy to see your interpretation!

Nice! Thanks!

Excellent work!

Thanks! I admit I did think a little of your style too while I was drawing the companion piece to this... a Romulan ship I'll post sometime soon. Stay tuned!
